To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, J AMES M. GOLDEN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Los Angeles in the county of Los Angeles and State of California, have invented new and useful Improvements in Hair-Net Holders, of which the following is a specification.

It is the object of this invention to provide means for holding a hair net in position, the hair net being employed when the hair is shampooed.

The invention provides a construction 1ncluding a head encircling member having means thereon for engaging the edge of a hair net, and also provided with retaining means in the form of a chin strap.'

The invention will be readily understood from the following description of the accompanying drawings, in which:

Figure 1 is a perspective view showing the device in use.

Fig. 2 is a similar view of the invention with the hair net detached therefrom.

The hair net holder comprises a band 1 of suitable material and arranged to encircle the head. .Straps 2 depend from the opposite sides of this band, and are suitably attached thereto as shown at 3. These straps are provided with-suitable connecting means shown as a buckle 4, and are arranged soas to provide a chin strap for holding band 1 in position.

The band is provided with suitable means for engaging the edge of a hair net shown Specification of Letters Patent.

at 5. This engaging means may take the form of a plurality of hooks 6 projecting from band 1, and arranged in spaced relation around the circumference of the same.

When in use the hair is arranged to hang freely, and net 5 is drawn over the same so that 1t may be caught upon the hooks of the retalning band which has been placed in position encircling the head. This retain- 1ng band will be held against displacement by its chin strap.

Various changes may be made without departmg from the spirit of the invention as claimed.

- What is claimed is:

1. The combination with a hair net of a head encircling member having means for engaging said net.

2. The combination with a-hair net of a head encircling member having means for engaging said net, and retaining means for the head encircling member.

3. The combination with a hair net of a head encircling band having hooks adapted to engage said net.

4. The combination with a hair net of a head encircling member having means for engaging said net, and a chin strap connected to the head encircling member for holding the latter in position.
