One Object of. my invention is to provide a device of the above-indicated characterthat .shallbe simpleand durable in construction and economical to manufacture.
Another object of my invention is to provide, in a trolley device having a body'portion and separable approach members, a'single readily-interchangeable insert member that is adapted to be placed between the body portion and the approach members to increase the length of the device and to prevent cooperating current-collecting devices, such as trolley wheels, from becoming wedged between the conductors near the same.
Figure l is a partial top plan view of a trolley frog embodying my invention, and Fig. 2 is a side view of the device shown in g trolley frog 1', of a usual type, only one end of which is shown, comprises, in general, a body member 2 having channel portions 3 for receiving converging conductors 4 that are attached thereto in any suitable manner, eye members 5 for attachment to guy-wires or other supports (not shown) and a bufi'er portion 6. Ordinarily, the portion 6 is provided to receive the shock that is imparted to the frog when a trolley wheel or pole, that is approaching the frog, becomes disengaged from its conductor and rises between it and the adjacent conductor. Renewable conductorembracing wearing or approach members 7 may be attached directly to the body member 2 by bolts 8 and nuts 9. With such devices, the jumping of a trolley wheel may occur, and the wheel, the harp or the pole may become wedged so tightly between the conductors of a frog that removal thereof may be efiected only with great difliculty.

I claim as my invention: p
1: The combination with a trolley-frog provided with a portion normally adapted to receive a renewable conductor-engaging approach member, of an insert member adapted to engage said trolley-frog in the place of the approach member, and means for securing the approach member to the insert member.
2. The combination with a trolley-frog.
having diverging conductor-engaging arms provided with means for supporting renewable approach members, of an insert member adapted to be held at one end'in engagement with said trolley-frog by said supporting means, and similar means. at the other end of the insert member for supporting the approach members, the said insert member comprising means for preventing a currentcollecting device from becoming wedged between the conductors.
3. The combination with a trolley-frog 7 comprising a body member and a'conducton engaging approach member, of means for increasing the length of sald trolley-frog comprislng an 1nsert member adapted to be I placed between said members in cooperative V relation thereto.
4; The combination with a trolley-frog comprising a body member and a conductor-engaging approach member, of means for increasing the length of said trolleyfrog comprising an insert member adapted to be placed between said members in cooperative relation thereto, said insert memv her having. a laterally extendingportion for preventing a current-collecting device from passing upwardly beyond the same. 5. The combination with a trolley frog adapted to fill the angle between converging conductors for a definite distance from the apex of the same, of means for preventing wedging of a current-collecting device between said conductors, said means com prising a member to be added to said trolley-frog to permit the latter to guide said device along the frog over its usual path in alinement with the conductor.
6. A device for preventing wedging of I distance from the frog and having integral conductor-embracing channel portlons for engagement with a current-collecting device.
