To all wwm t may concern.'
Be it known that I, Jon HORN have invented new and useful Improvements in Rubber-Set Rimes, of which the follow-Y ing is a specification. Y
My invention relates to ore concentrating i tables and my object is to make rubber set rilies, and my invention consists ofthe novelV features herein shown, described and claimed.A
' Figure l isa perspective of a riffle board for .an ore concentrating table and provided with rubber riles in accordance with the principles of my invention.
Fig. 2 is a cross section on the liney 2' -2 ofFigl.VY f Y' .y
Fig. 3 is an enlarged fragmentary cross sectional detail von .a plane parallel with Fig. 2.
Fig, 4 is a fragmentary perspective detail. In applying vmy rubber set riftles to a r1tie board 1 I place a layer of tar paper 2 upon Then I start from the side wall 6 which eX.
tends upwardly from one side of the board l and lay down two Vof the strips 3 with the strips 4 and drive nails 7 suitable distances apart tov hold the strips in place and make Y y a double width space 8.A Then I.A apply a coating of adhesive material, such as vrubber cement, to the exposed edges ofthe strips 3 and 4 which have -just been secured in :place and place the riiiie plate 5 against the adhesive material, and apply adhesive material i to the` third strips 3 and 4 and place the strips against the riile plate 5 and apply the nails and so on until'the desired numv5 and so that when the adhesive material sets ber of riiles have been applied to the board. The nails 7 are driven so as to press the strips 3 and 4 firmly against the riiileplates and dries water tight joints are formed to prevent the water from soaking through the facing of the boardzaround the riiiie plates.
lBy using the `wooden s trips', I am able toV use thinner linoleum strips 4.
The layer of tar paper 2 andtheicoat-V ings of adhesivelmaterial against the edges of the strips 3 completely surround the strips Y with water proof,V material so that theywill v not soak water and expand.
