body or nse'at board may be readily adjusted to diii'erent heights upon the steering post by means of a removable key or lockinof-plate, for holding said body thereon; the rear end of the body being raised orlowered through the medium of a bolster or support pivotally connected therewith which may be adjusted from a vertical to various inclined positions by means of anadjustable brace rod extending upwardly from a point near the bottom of the bolster to connect with a brace rod holder upon said body.
In the drawings I have shown a seat board or body member 10, preferablv constructed .of one piece of material, the rear end ofw'hich forms the seat 11 and the ffront end being apertured tov receive the inclined steering post 12, as clearly shown .in Fig. 6.- The body is considerably narrowed in front of the seat as shown in Fig. i to provide-.ample clearance for the legs of `the occupant of the vehicle when propelling the same. -Beneath the body and ysecured longitudinally thereon is a bar or cleat 13 having at its front end a trans- 1 verse aperture 14 and at its rear end a series of transverse apertures 15, as shown in Figs. 1 and 2, which are adapted to receive the forward end 16 of the brace rod 17 to secure itin various positions of adjustment, the number of said apertures being varied as may be desired. The rear ofA the brace rod 17` is loosely or pivotally connected, preferably with the vrear axle 18, which is extended through the bottom of the bolster or body support 19, said bolster being notched at 20 to provide clearance for the rear end'of said brace rod in order that the same may be directly connected with the axle. Upon the ends of the axle are mounted the rear wheels 21 said axle being held against longitudinal idisplacement preferably by the cottcr pin 22.
'lhe bolster 19 is pivotally connected with the body beneath the seat 11 preferably by means of the hinges 23. The lower end of the steering post is biurcated to receive the frontl Wheel 24 journaled on the axle 25, while the upper end of said post is provided with suitable operating handles 26 as shown in Fig. 4. The steering post is provided with a series of annular grooves or recesses 30 adapted to receive a locking key 32 by means of which the height of the body may be varied. Secured beneath the front end raised or lowered by removing the locking' of the vehicle body and abutting the cleat 13 is a bearing for the steering post, comprising the upper and lower plates 27 and 28 through which the steering post extends preferably at an angle to the vertical as shown in Fig. 6. The bearing plates have 'their adjacent faces beveled which liein a plane extending at right angles to the steering post, said plates being secured to the body by fastening devices such as the screws 29.
A recess or pocket 31 is formed in the upper face of the lower bearing plate 28 to receive the lock plate or body supporting key 32 which is inserted in the pocket from the rear of the steering post. The loclr plate or supporting key is cut or biturcated at its front end, as shown in Fig. S, the curved edge 33 thereof being made seinicircular in shape to conform to the curvature of the reduced cylindrical. portions 34 of the steering post at the base of the grooves 30, whereby the maximum bearing surface is provided between the lock plate and post to prevent accidental displacement of the body upon the post, the latter being rotatable upon-the plate. The' locking plate is of a thickness substantially equal to the Width` of the grooves 30 so as to fit rather snugly therein to prevent undue movement of the front end of the seat board upon said steering post. The back oitthe locking plate is provided with the spaced upstaiiding lugs or members which extend upon opposite sides of the cleat 13 when the plate is in locking position upon the steering post, said plate being held against displacement by the pin or stud 36 extended through the cleat 13 and arranged to project upon opposite sides thereof in contact with said lugs.
The seat board or body 10 may be readily plate 32 and shitting the steering post upwai'dly or downwardly as the case may be, until the desired groove is brought into alineinent with the recess 31, at which time the locking plate is re-inserted in said recess to engage the post within said groove, it being understood that the post is free to rotate upon its bearings and upon the plate when the same is in locking engagement therewith. The adjustment of the rear end of the body is effected by moving the position of the brace rod 17 forwardly or rearwardly, thereby shitting the position of the bolster or support 19 until the seat is brought to the desired horizontal position.
I claim as my invention:

ot'a plurality of'wlieels vfor supporting the same, a steering post carried by one of thewheels provided with a plurality of grooves, and a removable body supporting member arranged to engage the steering post within said grooves for supporting said body at relatively diderent heights upon said steering post.
4. The combination with a vehicle body, of a plurality of wheels for supporting the same, an inclined steering post carried by one of the Wheels having a' plurality of grooves formed thereon, avmember upon the body movable into and out of the grooves for supporting one end of the body at varying heights upon said post and a body supporting member upon the remaining wheels adjustable to support the other end of said body at relatively different heights.
5. A vehicle comprising a body, a pivotal h support for the same, wheels revoliible upon th'e'support, means for adjusting -the support upon the body to raise and lower one end of the latter, an inclined steering post having a plurality of annular grooves formed thereon, a wheel revoluble upon the post, a bearing upon the body in which said post is rotatably mounted, a recess formed in the bearing transversely of the longitudinal axis of the post and a plate insertible in the recess to engage the post in said grooves for supporting said body upon said post at relatively different heights.
