Another object of my invention is to provide a device which is exceedingly simple and cheap inconstruction and one which can attached to the ordinary construction of wringer now in use.

in the modification shown in Fig. 4, I provide a stripper board 27 in the form of a trough at its lower edge in order to provide a gutter for carrying any water thrown from. the roller to one side of the machine, the stripper being provided with the usual trunnions for pivotally mountin the same on the frame of the wringer, as by providing the gutter with an inclined bottom, the liquid thrown from the pressure roll will be conveyed to one side of the wringer. In this form, it is of course understood, that a retaining member is carried by the stripper for holding the pressure screw carrying member in position within the wringer frame.

I claim:

1. A clothes wringer comprising a frame having pressure rolls and pressure means for said rolls mount-ed therein, a top bar movably mounted in said frame, a stripper rneu'lber pivotally mounted in said frame above the upper pressure roll, and a retaining member carried by said stripper member for holding said top bar in predetermined position within said frame, said retaining inember'being moved out of engagement with said top bar on.the separation of said rolls for releasing said pressure means.

A clothes \vringer com 'n-ising a Frame having pressure rolls and pressure means for said rolls mounted therein. a top bar movably mounted in said frame having means for adjusting said pressure means, a stripper member pivotally mounted in said frame above the upper pressure roll. an eye carried by said top bar. and a retaining member adjustably mounted upon said stripper member having a hook engaging said eye.
