Be it known that JoHN B. KRYSTEK, a subject of the Czar of Russia, residing at Bow Island, in the Province of Alberta and Dominion of Canada, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Safety- Envelops, of which the following is a specilication.
This invention relates to certain new and useful improvements in safety envelope.
The primary object of the invention is the provision of an envelop arranged with a plurality of adhesive surfaces and being of particular folded arrangement for utilizing the same whereby the device is securely arranged when closed, preventing any removal of the missive without mutilating the device.
A further object is the provision of an envelop adapted for folding and sealing at different opposite points after the missive has been positioned therein, providing an arrangement for preventing the unauthorized tampering with the contents thereof without the same being readily detected by the appearance of the envelop.
In the drawings forming a part of this application and in which like designating characters refer to corresponding parts throughout the several views l Figure 1 is a plan view ofthe envelop blank employed.

The invention contemplates a blank 10 of the form shown in Fig. 1 formed of any desired iexible material of which the envelop is to be constructed. Said blank comprises a rectangular body l1 divided into equal end portions 12 and 13 by means of a diagrammatically arranged fold line 14. Opposite end flaps 15 and 16 are provided upon the opposite ends of the body 11 fold- .able respectively upon lines `1'2' and 18 at the opposite ends of the said body, both of the ratentea am. io, ier?.

By referring especially to Fig. 3, it will be noted that the edge portions 13 of the flaps 21 are considerably removed inwardly of the marginal edges 24 of the flap 15 providing pockets for allowing the sealing insertion of the gummed side portions 25 of the end flap 16 when the envelop is in its folded sealed arrangement hereinafter referred to, as best illustrated in Fig. 2.
`With the envelop form as shown in Figs. 3 and 4, it will be evident that the missive may be readily inserted therein adjacent the body-portion 13 and whereupon the envelop is then foldable upon the line 14 -to the positions illustrated in Figs. 5 and 6 of the drawings. The edges 26 of the flaps 21 are provided with adhesive portions 27 adapted to be adhesively secured to the adjacent face of the body-portion 12 while the flap 16 is foldable upon the line 18 for overlying the folded flap 15 and inserting the gummed marginal portions 25 of the flap 16 beneath the edges 24 of the flap 15 by folding the edge portions of the flap 16 upon the lines 28.
The flap 16 is provided with .an adhesive 29 upon its terminal edge 19 at one side of the flap for engaging the outer face of the flap 15 when the envelop is folded, an adhesive being provided upon both faces of the edge portions 25 thereof for securing the flap 16 to both the Hap 15 and the adjacent faces of the flaps 21.
With the envelop completely formed folded and sealed as illustrated in Fig. 2, the missive is securely inclosed thereim-render ing it extremely dificult to gain access to the missive Without destroying the material portions of the envelop.
What I claim as new is A safety envelop comprising an oblong body centrally foldable upon itself, in- Wardly foldable side iiaps and a pointed end flap adapted for overlying the said side flaps carried by the said body, the said end Hap being adliesively secured to the said side {iaps with normally free edges forming receiving pocket-s between the said end and side flaps, the said body and side flaps being centrally folded with the said liaps positioned outermost when the envelop is in its secured position, the marginal edge of the pointed flap being adhesively secured to the adjacent face of the body at the addressing side of the envelop, and a truncated sealing flap at the opposite end of the said body having foldable marginal edges adliesively secured Within the said pockets at the other side of the envelop.
