IMPROVEMENT IN APPLE-CORERS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 120,857, dated November 14, 1871.
To all lwhom t may concern:
Be it known that I, STEPHEN C. COLLINS, of Oregon, in the county of Holt and State of Missouri, have invented a new and useful Improvement in AppleOorer; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable others skilled `in the art to make and use the same, reference rial. B is the cutting-blade, made trough-shaped and attached to or formed on a ferrule, a, that is slipped over the end of the handle. The straight edges b b of the blade B are sharpened as Well as its end c, so it will easily enter an apple and cut out its core when turned therein. The blade, being smaller at its end than near the handle, will, by being put through an apple to a greater or less depth, cut out a larger or smaller core, as may be desired, and in accordance with the size of apple to be cored.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- 'lhe apple-corel, consisting of the handle A and trough-shaped conical blade B, substantially as herein shown and described.
