To all whom it may concern: Be it known that I, CHRISTIAN Gmson, a
citizen of the United States, and a resident of Wilkinsburg, in the county of Allegheny and State of Pennsylvania, have made a new and useful Invention in Blades, (which is a division of application serially numbered 87 9,7 54, filed December 30,1914L,) of whlch the following is a specification.
This invention relates to blades and has for an object to produce a blade having a new and improved shrouding member formed thereon. i g
A further object is to produce a blade having a combined spacing and shrouding member-and a shroud engaging tip formed integrally therewith.
A further object is to produce a blade which is provided witha shrouding member formed from a part blade.
These and other objects, which will be made apparent throughout the further description of my invention, .are attained by means of the blade herein described and v illustrated in the single sheet of drawings accompanying and forming a part hereof.

Flg. 5 illustrates the manner in which the blades fit together. Because of the interlocking of the tongues 10 in the recesses 9 and the tlps 8 in the holes 11 the blades may be accurately and quickly assembled in proper allnement. The tips 8 are then riv eted over thereby locking the blades together In Fig. 6, I have illustrated blades having inclined "shrouding' members for the purpose of providing fluid passages of gradually increasing area through the blades.
These blades are preferably formed by severing the blanks at an angle instead at at right angles, as shown in Fig. 1. The parts offthese blades which corrcspdndto similar parts of the blade shown in Fig. 4 are deslgnated by similar numerals distinguished by prime marks.
While ll have described and illustrated several embodiments of my invention, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various changes, modifications, additions and omissions may be made in the apparatus illustrated without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as set forth by the appended claims.
- What claimisz.
1. A blade formed of malleable material and having an integrally formed shroud member on the outer end thereof, said shroud member being flat and being pressed to a position substantially at right angles to the,
axis of the blade.
2. A blade having an integrally formed malleable shrouding member atone end thereof pressed into engagement with the adjacent ends of the wings of the blades.
3. A blade having a shrouding member formed of malleable material and located on the outer end thereof, said shrouding member being provided with areces's and tongue for causing adjacent-blades to interlock and form a continuous shroud, and being pressed to a position substantially at right angles to the blade.
