y'invention relates to improvementsm folding tops for motor. vehiclesand the like and aims to provide an extremely simple movements, thus 1 enabling 1t to be operated easily by asingle individual and the folds of the covering material to be ,properly arranged;

The invention also aims to provide a, construction in which the liability of damage to the covering material in the closedrposition of the top will be reduced toa minimum.
