adapted to contain any desired number of rolls of wire screen materiahcombined with guiding chutes through which the end portions of the wire screen stock are adapted to be fed one at a time, thereby enabling the salesman to readily select the desired width of material and direct the same through its respective guiding chute to the cutting off point.
A further object of the invention is to provide means for enforcing the feed of the material of any kind selected to the cutting off point; also means for registering the length of the material removed from any particular containing roller.
With the above and other objects in View, the invention consists in the novel construction, combination and arrangement of parts, as herein described, illustrated and claimed.
In the accompanying drawings Figure 1 is a front elevation of the rack of this invention.

In the preferred embodiment of this invention I employ a substantially triangular frame comprising a substantially rectangular base frame 1, main upwardly converging members 2 and 3 and another upwardly extending inclined member at substantially parallel to the frame member 3. It is to be understood that the frame members 2, 3 and 4 are duplicated at opposite sides of the rack.
The members 3 and if desired also the members 2 are provided with bearings 4 for the rollers or shafts 5 of any desired number of rolls 6 of screen wire. This is done in order to enable stock material of different widths to be mounted upon and dispensed from the same rack.
The members 4 of the frame are designed for the support of the receiving ends of a plurality of gulding chutes 7 each comprising a top wall 8, a bottom wall 9 andsides 10. All of these chutes are open both at their receiving and discharging ends and the endportions of the stock are inserted therein toward the point where the desired length of stock is severed from that remain ing in the rack.
Y Thechutes 7 converge toward a common discharge point. and arranged adjacent to the latter are two feed rollers 11 and 12 which are journaled in bearing members 13 fastened in any suitable way to the frame members 2. The stock material is adapted to pass between said feed rollers 11 and 12 and to be drawn from the rollers and fed outwardly thereby, one of said feed rollers being provided with an operating crank 14 on one end thereof.
Mounted on one of said feed rollers is a sprocket wheel 15 from which a chain 16 extends around another sprocket wheel 17 on a feed screw 18 which is also journaled in bearings on the frame member 2. The feed screw 18 is substantially horizontal and parallel to the feed rollers 11 and 12, being located above the latter. Located above the feed screw 18 is a graduated scale bar 19 along which travels a pointer or indicator 20. The indicator 20 has a substantially semi-circular or forked base 21 which is internally threaded to be engaged by the threads of the feed screw 18 when resting TED STATES PATENT rion.
, through said chutes and adapted to slide I thereon. The point of the indicator 20 rests against the graduated bar 19. The indicator 20 by reason of its construction may be quickly and easily lifted off the feed screw 18 and moved back to the zero point of the graduated bar 19 preparatory to dispensing another portion of the stock.
The rack may be placed on a counter, table or like'support, stock of-varying widths may be carried by the same rack, each roll kept separate from the others, and by placing suitable symbols on the chutes 7 or on the frame adjacent thereto, the salesman may select the desired stock without handling a great number of rolls as is now necessary.
