My invention relates to a gyroscope topframe; and consists of two arms or handles at the top, and a spindle or spinning-point at the bottom, in combination with an inner wheel or top.

The pivot b is adjustable, being formed upon the end of set-screw d, which passes through a nut in the ring. Pivot c is formed on the inside of the ring. The shaft is provided with a pin, 6, for holding the end of the cord. 0 is the outer ring, made'with spindle D and handles H H.
The loop on the end of the cord is placed over the pin 0 and the wheel turned backward till the cord is wound up. The ring is held by the handles, with the left hand, in a horizontal position, the spindle D resting against the left breast, and with the right hand the cord is drawn out with sufficient force to rapidly spin the top A, and immediately the ring is allowed to drop into a perpendicular position and the spindle is placed on a table, the bottom of a tumbler, or wherever the operator may desire to have it run, and the hand is removed from the handles. The motion of top A will balance and set in motion the ring, which will continue to spin nearly as long as top A Will run.
