citizen of the United States, and residing in the. county of Kings, city of New York,

State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Electrin- Lamp Fixtures, of which the following is n -which represent a preferred embodiment of" -correct and complete specification.

The object of my invention is to molten fixturefor electric lamps which shall. be simply, quickly, and cheaply constructed. and which shall be cepable'of' i'astening the lamp to a varietyiof objects in :1 member of different positions and angles. and shall also be capable of serving as a stand for the lamp upon any, convenient support. Other objects of my invention will be described in the following description and drawings my invention.

screw 3, which can be tightened so as to keep the limbs 2 and 5 at any. desired angle, as

shown in Fig. 2.

The limb'2 is provided at its top with a socket of the ordinary and well-known kind, which is not shown and is not n part of my improvement in itself, for receiving 1min candescent lamp of the ordinary and wellknown kind. The member 9 has a. hole 16 at its rear, so that it can be hung on a nail or the like. It has a cloth 1O fastened to its bottom, andthe inside of the arcunte portions of the clamp ing members are also lined with cloth 10.

I claim:

1. An electric lamp fixture having as a base two clamping members of like construction each clamping member being composed of a sheet of metal having a fiat rear portion and an arcuate forward portion, each clamping member having two tongues stamped out of said flat rear portion at sobstantially right angles thereto the slots formed by stamping out said tongues having an intermediate bridge-like portion formed in the center of each' clamping men1 ber said tongues being connected by a pintlc, spring means for forcingsaid clamping members together and a standard adapted to support an incandescent lamp connected to said bridge-like portion.

An electric lamp fixture comprising two clamping members of like construction, each clamping member being composed of a sheet of metal having a flat rear portion portion, the exterior of said arcuate portion being in line with said flat rear portion, each clamping member having two tongues stamped out of said flat rear portion atsubstantially right angles thereto, the slots formed by stamping out said tongues leaving an intermediate bridgelike portion in the center of said clamping members, said tongues being connected by a pintle, spring means for forcing said clamping members together and a standard naeaaai adag ited to support an incandescent lamp connected to said bridgedilzc portion.

An electric lamp fixture having base a pair of equal and compleme clamping jaws connected together by a spring, each clamping jaw being composed of a sheet of metal having a fiat rear tion and an arcnat-e forward portion In one oft said clamping jaws a snostzintially horizontal supporting base and a standard adapted to support an incandesso cent lamp fixed in the center of said clamping members and perpendicular thereto.

An electric lamp fixture comprising a support composed of clamping members connected to each other means for forcing the said clamping members together, each of said clamping members ha ing adjacent perforations and an intermediate bridgelike portion in the center of said clamping members and a standard connected to the said bridgedilre portion by means of tongues connected to the said. standard and bent under the said bridge-like portions. to tightly clamp it, the said standard being adapted to carry an incandescent lamp, the center of gral'ity of said fixture being" suficicntly far from the edges of said clamping members that when the lamp is bent Yer the said standard remains substantially ri ft anglee to the surface upon which the said clamping members are rsting.
