1. The combination in a, drier, of a series of compartments, each compartment having e dry ing chamber; means for supporting the material tombe dried in said chambers; lines for conducting hot. air to the. several chambers.; dues connecting the several chambers; and an exhaust fine communicating with one ofsaid chambers so as to exhaust the moist air from said. chamber.
2. The combination in adrier, of alseries of compartments, each compartment having a drying chamber; means for supporting thel material to be dried in the several chambers; movable curtains dividing the chambers so that material can be transferred from one chamber to another; a flue for hot gases communicating with the last of the series of chambers; flneslconnecting the several chambers; and an exhaust tiue communicating with the first. chamber so-that the air, as it passes fromv one`,c`hamber to another, will collect the moisture and willbe finally discharged from the'chamber into which the material to be dried is rst entered.
