To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that l llrnnmiu Jenn Banana, a citizen or the United States, residing at Cleveland, in the county of Cuyahoga and State oi Ohio, has invented certain new and useful Ilmprovements in Combined Mops and i l ringers, 01 which the following is a specification.

My invention relates to a combined mop and wringer, which is of simple construetion and more elleetually and readily operated than the mop oi my invention disclosed in Letters Patent l lo. 1,00d,965, October 3, 1911.

The invention involves the use out a mop 2 ol cloth or other pliable material suitable tor the purpose, which is :l'astened to a handle 2 by a folding holder 3 and a crank l, whereby the mop 2 may be stretched in tlat wiping engagement with the floor upon inclining the handle and bringing pressure to bear thereupon, and whereby the mop may also be wrung to remove the water after wipinp; operations by rotating the crank member at and rigidly setting the holder at substantially right angles to the handle, substantially as shown in Figs. 1 and 9, re speetively. in my tormer device, these purposes were accomplish :d by utilizing a slidable holder for the mop, but ll find that a more el'lective action and durable construction is obtained by hingine; the holder to told and untold at two pivotal points in the connections. it simple and inexpensive arrangement of parts based on this concept comprises a split ferrule member 5 :tastened the end 01 the handle or stick 2 by crimpinp; its sides 6 upon the handle and riveting the ends together through cars 'l by a pivot pin 8, and also securing it in place by a tubular rivet 1, and the straight portion 9 of the crank member extends through this tubular rivet and the stick. rt rotatable hand grip 10 serves to turn the crank, and a loop 11 forms part 01 the cranlr beneath the handle and the cloth mop 2 is secured at one end to this loop while the other end thereof is secured to a spreading; eye 15.2 termed at the bottom or outer end or the wire holder 3 which rigidly and innnovably tlastened upon a plate 1d pivotally suspended from a link member 15 in ll'll'lpgml Connection with pivot 8. What 1 claim is:

1. r1 handle having; a terrule member. a flanged linlr pivotally united with said lien rule member, a plate having lateral projections pivotally united with said link a Wire holder afliXed to said plate having an outer spreading end and a relatively shorter inner end adapted to bear against said ferrule in one folded position of the parts, a crank member upon said handle, and a mop connected With said crank member and the outer spreading end of said Wire holder.

2. A handle having a flanged link member pivotally supported thereon and a flanged plate member pivotally secured to at its ends and clamped between its ends in said plate member, a crank rotatably mounted in said handle and having a looped end portion, and a mop secured to said looped portion at one end and to the outer loop of said holder at the other end.
