Carriedby the container 0 anddisposed exteriorly thereof is a vertically disposed gage glass G of ordinary construction which has its lower end portion in communication I with the interior of the container C. Extending within the supplemental container or reservoir B through the bottom thereof are the extremities of the tube 16 preferably of copper, which tube extends inwardly of the bottom of the container C and underlies the same whereby it will be at once self-evident that the water or other liquid within the supplemental container or reservoir R may be readily and conveniently heated. The tube 16 is held to the bottom of the container O through the medium of the clamping strip 17.

Extending through the supplemental container or reservoir R adjacent the bottom thereof is the pipe 18 in communication with the atmosphere and with the container 0. The outer end of the pipe 18 is provided with a valve 19 to afford means whereby an excessive quantity of water or other liquid within the container C may be withdrawn.

20 communicating with the interior of the supplemental container or reservoir R and which is under control of the valve 21 extending exterior-1y of the supplemental container or reservoir B through the top thereof. By this arrangement it will be at once self-evident that a supply of heated water or other liquid may be readily delivered within the container C as the requirements of practice may necessitate.

The outer face of the supplemental container or reservoir R and the opposite end of the container C are provided with the hand grasps 2:2 for a purpose which is believed to be clearly apparent to those skilled in the art to which my invention appertains.

From the foregoing description, it is thought to be obvious that a heater constructed in accordance with my invention is of an extremely simple and comparatively inexpensive nature and is particularly well adapted for use by reason of the convenience and facility with which it may be assembled, and it will also be obvious that my invention is susceptible of some change and modification without material departure from the principles and spirit thereof and for this reason I do not wish to be understood as limiting myself to the precise arrangement and formation of the several parts herein shown in carrying out my invention in practice, except as hereinafter claimed.

I claim:

1. A water heater comprising a container, and a second container carried thereby, a discharge pipe in communication with the first named container and extending through the second container and discharging exteriorly of the second container, said pipe being provided with a port in communication with the interior of the second container, a valve adapted to close the port, a controlling valve interposed in the pipe exteriorly of the second container and a tube carried by and underlying the first container and having its extremities in communication with the second container.
