This invention relates to in'iprovements in key pouches.

lt is the object of this invention to pro vide an improved construction of key pouches. whereby any type of key ring can be readily attached to and removed from the pouch, and which will particularly facilitate the detachment and removal of the circum ferentially split Atype of key rings, so that the key ring may he used with or without the pouch as desired.

A further object is to provide a key ring' attachment for key pouches' which is' detachable from the pouch proper, so that an old and worn pouch can be removed there from andthe fastener attached to a new pouch.

The invention primarily resides in a stud formed with open lended tubular reduced end portions and enlarged shoulder portions at the base of the reduced end portions adapted to abut against the insides of the pouch flaps, said reduced portions being interiorly threaded and adapted to extend through perforatious in the pouch liaps.I and removable .bindingplates formed with threaded stems adapted to be screwed into the reduced ends of the stud to attach the stud between the flaps, as hereinafter more fully described, and illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which; v v

In the ordinary well known key pouches the key ring retaining,r stud is usually permanently attached to the. pouch flaps, thus rendering it diil'cult or impossible to remove the key ring. The present invention overoonu--s this` ditliculty and at the saine time permits the pouch being detached from the stud when damaged or worn and replaced by a new pouch. By this arrangement the stud and the binding plates thereof may be made of silver or other valuable metal and suitably engraved and ornamented, as this portion of the pouch is more durable than the material of which the pouch is made. and will outwear a number of pouches.

In the application of the invention one of the projections t2 is inserted through the perforation .1.3 in one of the pouch flaps 5 or 6, and theplate 16 is screwed thereon to clamp or bind the fiap between the plate and the shoulder l1. The key ring 9 is then placed over the stud and the other pouch flapis folded over so that. the other projection 12 will pass through the perforation 13 therein. The top plate 16 is then secured in place on the stud so as to effectively bind the other flap in position. The pouch may now he used in thc usual manner.
