The nature and scope of the present invention having been, indicated and one form having been specifically described, what is claimed as new is:

As an article of manufacture, a leather blank for insoles, having a flap which is formed by cutting downwardly and outwardly in one face of the blank and which is turned up with the fibers of the leather stretched at its upper margin to produce a length at this portion of the flap greater of the flap at its base to 2.
