For the purpos'eof protecting the -ends Vof the bandage roll'9 and, also, of preventing the roll rom` becoming accidentally unwound, I prefer to coat theends of the roll unrolled, but it does attach itself to any loose thread ends on the edges of the bandage and has a tendency to remove these thread ends from the bandage edges' as the roll is unwound.

It is believed that my invention will be fully understood from the foregoing without further description and it will be manifest that various modifications of the construction disclosed willsuggest themselves to those skilled in the art and that considerable modification may be resorted to within the purview of the following'claims without departing from the essence of the invention or sacrificing any of the material advantages thereof.

I claim:

1. A surgical bandage package compris-ll a cylindrical casingfadapted 'to' contain Y a roll 'of sur 'cal bandage' or the like and provided wit bandage may be drawn,` end 1eces each cona `slot through which the sisting oa-disk substantia y equal in circumference'to the inner perimeter of said casing and another disk substantially equal in circumference to the outer perimeter of said casing; each inner disk being permanently secured ywithin the casing and the outer disky to the inner disk, and a sealing sheet disposed about'said cylindrical casing and securedto the edges of the outer disks. 2. The combination of a surgical bandage and a container for the same, said container comprisin a cylindrical casing having a slot therein through which an endy of said bandage protrudes, and a paperv sealing sheet disposed oversaid slot and secured to the'protruding end of said bandage and to the surface of the container around the same, whereby said container is securely sealed.

3. A ysurgical bandage package comprising an outer permanently closed casing having a slot, a rolll of non-adhesive gauze bandage within said casing of a width substantially equal to the width of the casing, having' an end disposed through said slot, and having a coating of adhesive material applied to the edge of 'said bandage at an end of said roll whereby accidental unwinding of-the roll is prevented. y l
