of the city of hlew York, borough ofManhattan, in the county and State of New York, have invented it new and Improved Childs lVaist, of which the following is a lull, clear, and exact description.

Among the principal objects which the present invention has in view are: To provide a waist of the character mentioned with suspension meinhers expansihle to accom1nodate the growth of the wearer; to provide garment-supporting members constructed nod: arranged to relieve the body of the wearer from the carrying or supporting strains; to provide a-garment of the character mentioned employing shoulder-straps with adjustment devices for retaining said straps in service position on the body of the wearer; to provide auxiliary supports or re tainers for preventing disadjustment of the shoulder-straps of under-nests or similar garments; to'provide means for attaching stocking supporters on said garment; and to" provide a garment of the character lnentioned which may be readily la-undried.

A Waist as characterized, comprising a plurality of vertically-disposed suspender straps, said straps being arranged in cooperative pairs; at pluralityof shoulder-straps, one end of each shoulder-strap being permanently attached to the upper end of one member of each of said pairs of Suspender straps; a plurality of fasteners on said shoulder-straps adjacent the free'ends thereof, said fasteners being arranged in series for forming loops adjustable for varying the service length of said shoulder straps; means on the other member of each of said pairs of suspender straps for operatively engaging the loops formed at the free ends of said shoulder-straps; a plurality of short loop members permanently secured at the being passed under and around the shoulder straps of a nether garment.
