Be it known that l, DAVED ZAKIM, a citizen of Russia, and a residentof New York city, inthe county of Bronx. and State of New`York, have lnvented certain new and useful llmprovements in Clips for Fens, Pencils, and Similar Articles, f which 'the following is a specification.

This invention'relates to a clip for pens,A pencilsy and similar articles which is pro- 'for lengagement f withthe garment, andpcomprises more particularly novel and eiiicient means for rotatably mounting the ball within the body of the clip, in a simple and durable manner.

ln constructing the device, there are formed on the bendable blank 'of the finger,

The ball is placed in` the upper ring, and then the lowerring is bent against the inner face of the upper ring, so as to form a bipartite'socket at the lower end of the linger that encompasses ythe ball. By bending the lower ring against theinner, and not against the outer, face of the upper ring i. e. against that face ofthe finger from which the clip attaching means project, the

pressure exerted bythe ball when the device is in use, will not have a tendency to spread the two moieties ofthe socket, so that in this waxy the durabilityV of the device is insured.
