. To aZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HERMAN H. BINGER, a citizen or" the United States, residing ,at Lewistown, 1n the county of Lewis, tdtate of Missouri, have invented a newand useful Silo-Mold;,and I do hereby declare the foland the like, and, an object of the invention is to provide an improved sectional mold, including means for connecting the sections tightly together.
Another object of the inventionis to pro-- vide means for raising the mold sections, as one concrete tier is molded and becomes set, in order to construct another section or tier of the silo superimposed on the first section,

In practical fields the details of construction may necessitate alterations, falling within the scope of what isclaimed.
The invention comprises further features and combination of parts, as hereinafter set forth, shown in the drawings and claimed.
In the drawings :-Figure 1 is a view in side elevation, showing parts in section, illustrating the invention in use, Fig. 2 is a vertical sectional view showing parts in eleration. Fig. 3 is a sectional view on line 38 of Fig. 1 showing parts in plan view.

When first starting'to construct acsilo or cistern, an excavation 1 is first formed in the ground, for the reception of the foundation wall 2 (which is constructed of concrete or the like) of the silo or cistern. In constructing this foundation wall 2, only the sections 3 of the inner wall t of the mold may be used, or said foundation wall 2 may be constructed in any other suitable manner, if desired. However, the foundation wall 2 has embedded therein annular tie rods 5, and
vertical rods 6, which vertical rods 6 are signed to extend upwardly and vertically to the entire wall of the silo or cistern. After constructing the foundation wall, the sections 7 of the outer wall 8 of the mold placed in position, as shown in the drawings particularly igs. l, 2 and 8, above the foundation wall, then the sections 3 of the inr wail of the silo mold or cistern are arranged concentric with the outer wall, as shown clearly in Figs. 1, 2 and 3. However, the inner wall of the silo or mold consists of upper and lower tiers 9 and 10, and each tier consists of the sections and lower tiers are bolted together as shown at 11. The sections of the'upper and lower tiers of the inner wall have flanges l2, l3, and l'-l-. The flanges 12 of the upper edge of the sections of the upper tier of the inner wall have overlapping parts 15. which are providedwith openings The flanges 13 have overlapping parts 17 provided withopenings 18 similar o the open; ings 16, whereas the flanges 1% also overlap and have openings 19. l he under portions of the overlapping parts l5, l7 and l l of said i2, 13 and Li provided with inwai dly extendin lugs 2 through "which the rods 21 extend. The arms 33 of the angular member 31 are V -shaped as shown in Fig. 7 clearly, and are designed to extend downwardly through the openings 16, 18 and 19 of said overlapping parts of the flanges 12, 13 and l ii. thereby drawing the adjacent edges of the sections l of the upper and lower tiers of sections 4 of the inner vall together.
7 The arms 3% of the angular members 32 are tapered similar to the arms 33, and are designed to extend through the openings 30 of the overlapping parts 26 and 27 of the flanges 25 of the sections of the outer wall, so as to draw the adjacent edges of the sections of the outer wall together. To cause the arms 33 and 34: to wedge through said The upper openings, to draw the sections of the inner and outer walls of the silo together, the rods 21 and 29 are rotated in one direction, and to withdraw the arms 33 and 34: from said openings, the rods 21 and 29 may be rotated in the opposite direction. However, the lower ends of the rods 21 and 29- have heads at their lower ends, as shown, and are provided with nuts 35 and 36 on their upper ends, to hold the strips 22 against the angular members 31 and 32, so that'when the platform 24; is raised, the inner and outer walls of the silo will be correspondingly Mounted in bearings of the brackets as is a counter shaft 49 having a hand bar 50 and a worm 51, which worm meshes with the worm wheel 47. Connected to and wound about the drum 4:6 is a cable 52, the upper portion ofwhich has suitable connections 53 to the four cables 54:, which pass over thepulleys .43, and are extended downwardly and connected at 55 to the outer portion of the platform, so that by turning the counter shaft 49, imparting movement to the shaft 45, through the worm and worm wheel connections, thereby imparting movement to the drum, the platform and the inner and outer walls of the silo or cistern mold, may be raised. The raising of the platform and the inner and outer walls of the cistern or mold is accomplished subsequently to the construction of each tier of'the silo or cistern. The framing 37 has a suitable ladder 60, whereby one of the operators of the apparatus may ascend to the top of the framing for adjusting any of the parts'at the top of the apparatus. The framing is braced by the tie rods or cables 61. The upper portion of the-framing has a beam 62, at the end of which a suitable pulley 63 is suspended, over which a rope or cable 64 passes, which rope or cable, at one end, has a bucket 65, for hoisting cement, concrete or the like, in constructing the silo or cistern. As each tier of the silo or cistern is constructed it is pro= vided with annular tie rods or rings 66, similar to the rings 5,,for reinforcing the wall of the silo 0r cistern.
The invention having been set forth, what is claimed as new and useful is v 1. In a mold for silos, cisterns and the like, inner and outer walls concentric with each other and spaced apart, each wall consisting of sections arranged with their vertical edges adjacent each other and havingoverlapping flanges, said overlapping flanges having openlngs, members having tapering arms passing throu-gh'said openings, and means threaded through said members to move the arms through the openings to draw the sections together". j

In a nioldfor silos, cisterns and the like, inner and outerwa'lls concentric with each other and spaced apart, each wall consisting of sections arranged with their vertical edges adjacent each other and having overlapping flanges, said overlapping flanges having openings',- inembers having tapering arms passing through said openings, and means threaded through said members to move the armsthrough the openings to draw the sections together,"'a' platform having connec- 1 tions with the upper edges of said walls, and means for raising the platform with the inner and outer walls attached.

In a mold for silos, cisterns and the like, inner and outer walls concentric with each other and spaced apart, each wall consisting of sections'arranged with'their vertical edges adjacent each other'and having overlapping flanges, said. overlapping flanges having openings, members having tapering arms passing through said openings, and means threaded through said members to move the arms through the openings to draw the sections together, a platform, links connected to the platform, and being in turn connected to the upper edges" of the inner and outer walls by said means which adjust said members, and means for ralsing the platform and the inner and outer walls wlth the same.
