Be it known that I, JULIUS an resident of St. Joseph, Berrien county, ll lu'higan, have invented a certain new and useful Improvement in Box-Blank Machines, of which the following is a specifi- -cation.
My invention relates to box-blank maholder comprises one or more endless linkbelts. - Broadly considered, therefore, the object of my invention is to insure against driving of the staples at points where they are not desired or needed.
More specifically considered, the object of my invention is to provide means controlled by the traveling motion of the work for antomatically stopping the driving of staples,
while stapled and unstapled blank materials are on the machi'ne, behind and in front of the staplers, for any desired purpose, but more particularly with reference to the operation of th machine in such manner as to prevent the rivingof staples in any gaps or spaces necessarily left in the work from time to time, and generally appearing at regular intervals therein.

But it is obvious that this automatic control of the various mechanisms of the machine by the traveling motion of the work may be employed in various ways, or for various .purposes, Without departing from t e spirit of my invention.
As previously explained, the "mechanism automatically motion of the blanks. The other operative portions of the machine are also automatically stopped in the same manner. The purpose of this, as explained, is primarily to prevent the driving of staples in any gaps or spaces left in the Work. For example, it
