Be it known that I, KALMAN HAJnt'I, a subject of the King of Hungary, resid ng atv Youngstown, in the county of Mahoning and State of Ohio, have invented certain new and useful Improvements .in a ombined Razor and Scissors, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawing.

This invention relates to a combined razor and scissors, and the primary object of the invention is to furnish a scissor a recess adapted and by disconnecting the scissor blades, the

blade equipped with the razor blade can be used for shavlng.

Another object of this invention is to construct one of the blades of a pair of scissors it can be equipped with a razor blade and used similar to an ordinary safety razor, the provision made for the razor blade not impairing the usefulness of the scissors or shears.

With the above and other objects in view as may hereinafter appear, the invention resides in the novel construction, combination and arrangement of partsto be hereinafter specifically described and then claimed.

Reference will now be had to the drawing, wherein igure 1 is an elevation of a pair of scissors or shears in accordance with this invention, Fig. 2 is a similar view of a detached blade, Fig. 3 is an enlarged cross sectional scissor blade provided with a razor blade, and Fig. 4 is an enlarged perspective view of a detached scissor blade de for the razor view of the blade.

In removing the cutting edge of the blade 10 from the edge 14 of the blade 2, the cutting edge of the blade 10 will register with the upper edges of the teeth 8, and in making a wide stroke when shaving, the edge 14-. of the blade 2 will cotiperate with the teeth 8 in preventing the razor edge from entering the flesh.

Since the razor blade is'detachable, it can be easily removed and sharpened, and when the scissors are in use, it is preferable to leave the razor blade oil of thescissor blade and thereby avoid all danger of the edge of the razor blade being 1n ured or injuring thejoperator of the scissors.
