IMPROVEMENT IN ROTATIIN G- FANS AND FLY-BRUSHES.
The Schedule referred to in these -Iietters Patent land making .part or the same.
Be it-known that I, OLIVER Mn'rcALF, of Orleans, in the county of Orange and State of Indiana, have invented a new and valuable Improvement in Fans and Fly-Brushes; audI do hereby declarethat the following isa full, clear, and exact description of the construction andpperation of the same, reference being. had to the annexed drawing making a part of athis specification, and to the let-ters and figures of reference marked thereon.

My invention relates to fans7 ily-brushes, Ste., and consists in the construction and novel arrangement of devices designed toconstitute a combined revolvingfan and fly-brush, operated by clock-work,'and adapted to be suspended at any point of the apartment, ac-

H represents a strap or loop, whereby the rotating fan, with its clock-work, may be conveniently suspended at any desired point, as for instance, over the center of the dining-table at meals.
It will be observed that the fans sweep around horizontally, and the drooping brushes serve effectuallyv to drive away the lies and other insects which may beV within its influence.
What I claim as my invention, and
