Allentowm in the county of Lehighland in the State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain new and useful'Improvexnentsin Stoves; and do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had vto the accompanying drawing and to the letters of reference marked therei on making". a part `of this specitication.

The nature of` my invention consists* First, in placing the supply air-flue above the base of the fireibox; i i

Second, in the construction of contractors'forming the throat of the magazine; and

Third, in introducing at the top 'of the stove a waterreservoir, in which the top is set.

In order to enable Vothersslrilled in the art to which my inventionappertains `to make and use the same, v I will now proceed to` describe its construction and stove.

Between the two cylinders, A and D, is` the supply `air-flue B, which is so arrangedas-to enter above the 4base of the ire-box C, instead of in the base, as is usually the ease.

In the magazine D are placed two contractors, E E, of curved form, as shown, attached opposite each other and' extending downward and inward, the one onv the side where the supply air-fluek B enters beingA directly against said entrance and below the other contractor, forming a throat in the magazine and cansing the air supplied through the due B to turn downward, as represented by arrows in the drawing. These will prevent the coal from ig'niting above the draughtflue. l a

In the top of the stove between thecyiinders is formed a water-reservoir, G, in which the top H is set, 'to prevent the admission of air to the magazine, and also, by evaporation, -to meisten the air of the room.
