. BAG- CABINET.
Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented Mar. 25,1913.
Application filed November 8, 1811. Serial No. 659,171.
To all whom. 2'15 may concern:
Be it known that we, and Aarnoa Perms, citizens of the United States of America, residing at \Vanette, in the county of Pottawatomie and State of Oklahoma, have invented certain new and' tained by tie novel construction, preferred forms of which are shown in the accompanying drawings, it bein however, understood that changes may e made in said construction without departing from the spirit of this invention or the scope of the c mm.
In said drawings: Fi ure 1 is a perspective view of the comp ete cabinet section. Fig. 2 is a bottom lan view. Fig. 8 is a longitudinal vert-ica sectional view taken on the line a-a of Fig. 1. Fig. 4 is a transverse sectional view taken on the line b-b of Fi 2.
Re erring to said drawings by numerals A box or cabinet 1 of any suitable material but preferably of wood or metal and of a. size and shape suitable for its purpose is provided at one portion thereof, but referably in the front end, with a door 9. or the purpose of providing an openin for load- In said cabinet. Said door 2 1s provided at its lower end with a suitable recess 3 over which extends a downwardly and outwardly extending flap 4. Flap 4 is by preference of sheet metal and suitably fastened to the door when the cabinet is of wood but when the cabinet is of metal said flap is integral with the door.
A frame 4' is placed at the bottom of said cabinet within the sides and ends thereof and within said frame, near the front end thereof, is carried the cross bar 5. S aced parallel supporting rods 6 are arrange longitudinally of the rame 4 and pass through suitable openin s formed in cross bar 5 and enter at t eir other ends openings formed in the rear member of frame t. Said rods 6 are held firmly in place by the Crraanss C. LYNCIL heads 7 thereof abutting against the forward member of frame 4. A plate 8 having rolled edges 9 is slidably mounted upon therods 6 by said rods passing through the recesses formed bysaid rolled edges 9. Said plate 8 is provided, at its forward end, with a tongue 10, bent upwardly as at 11, the major portion of said tongue lying in a plane parallel to that of the plate 8. Plate 8 is further provided with recesses 12 for the reception of the bent end 13 of rod 14, said rod being made fast to said plate in any suitable manner but preferably by means of a nut 15 adapted to engage the threaded end of said rod. The purpose of a plurality of recesses 12 is to allow adjustment of the plate 8 when the same may become necessary by reason of different sizes of bags. A. resilient member 16, by preference a coiled spring, is suitably attached to the bent end 13 of rod 14 and at its other end to the frame 4.
The forward member of frame t and cross bar 5 are provided with open alined transverse guidcways or slots 17 and 18 respectively for the reception of an operating rod 14, said rod being held in place therein by means of retaining plates 19 and 20 suita ly fastened to said forward member of frame 4' and said cross bar 5, res )ectively, below said slots. Rod 14 is provi ed, at its forward end, with a suitable head 21 which forms a grip for the operation of said rod and also provides a lace for the stamping thereon or insertion t ierein of the size number of the bags contained in the cabinet.
In practice our invention is used as follows. The bags being folded with one side of the bottom turned back against the bag to form a flap, as shown most clearly at 29., Fig. 3, the bags are placed in the cabinet through the door 2, the door being then closed, to secure a bag the head .21 is gripped and rod 14 drawn forward causing plate 8 to travel forward along rods 6 resulting in tongue 10 catching the bag within the flap 22 and ejecting said bag through recess 3, when the head is released and the resilient member 16 causes the parts to assume their original position.
Having described our invention, what we claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
A ba cabinet comprising a casing provided with a bag outlet, an ejector shdable therein," -meens=for sliditbly sn'pportingr'th'e; Intestimony whereof weihereunto aflix ejector in the casing; said ejector being proour signatures in presence of two witnesses. 10
