Abstract

A sanitary napkin (1) which comprises a front face sheet (10), a back face sheet (20) and a liquid-absorbing structure (30) located between the front sheet (10) and the back sheet (20), wherein a backward compressed groove (42) is formed in the back part (BP) along the lengthwise direction (LD) of the vertically long sanitary napkin (1) in the body-contact side of the sanitary napkin (I). The backward compressed groove (42) has a pair of side compressed parts (421, 421) formed along the widthwise direction (WD) of the absorbent article (1). These side compressed parts (421, 421) is formed so that they are apart from each other almost axisymmetrically around the center line (CL.) at the center in the widthwise direction (WD) of the sanitary napkin (1).
