Abstract
The present invention relates to methods and compositions for the therapeutic and diagnostic use in the treatment of diseases and disorders which are caused by or associated with amyloid or amyloid-like proteins including amyloidosis. In particular, the present invention provides an antigenic construct comprising an Aβ antigenic peptide fragment consisting of a single or repetitive stretch of between 13 and 15 contiguous amino acid residues from the N-terminal part of the Aβ peptide for the treatment of an amyloid-associated disease or condition.
