Abstract
The invention relates to a device for dividing a flow of objects such as foil bags into two or more flows, with a conveyor on which the objects can run in along a line in a conveying direction and at least one slide with which objects can be moved on the conveyor relative to other objects on the conveyor, wherein the slide can be moved in a direction which lies at an angle (α) of less than 90°. to the conveying direction and the slide moves the objects to another conveyor or separates them on the same conveyor into two flows, in addition, two conveyors and other conveyors that follow one or both conveyors are installed in such a way that two objects on two or next conveyors are transported side by side, at least during some period of time. The invention also relates to a method for dividing a flow of objects, such as foil bags, into two or more flows, which includes the following stages: transport of objects along a certain line in the direction of transport and moving at least one of the objects relative to other objects in the direction, which lies at an angle of less than 90°, in the direction of transport, in addition two conveyors transport two objects side by side, at least during some period of time.
