Спосіб прогнозування зрощення перелому, що включає клінічний огляд, рентгенографію. Проводять визначення поліморфізму гена метилентетрагідрофолатредуктази (MTHFR C677T), вміст остеокальцину, трансформуючого фактора росту бета 1 (ТФР-β1), С-кінцевого пропептиду колагену І типу (СІСР) і при гомозиготному носійстві 677-СС, рівнях остеокальцину 17,2-38,0 нг/мл, ТФР-β1 17-25 нг/мл, СІСР 102-108 нг/мл прогнозують зрощення перелому.
