Abstract

The invention relates to machine-building, propulsion engineering and can be used in constructions of piston combustion engines, piston compressors and other devices with variable reduced moments of inertia. A flywheel with variable moment of inertia has a mechanism for change of moment of inertia with solar pinion and planetary wheels to which on levers weights are attached, electric clutch, control block. Additionally fixed hollow chamber is included as straight elliptical cylinder where link with slide is placed, the last one is installed with touching walls of fixed hollow chamber. At that the link is connected without possibility of motion to output shaft of the engine and is placed normally with respect to its axis. The invention provides periodical change of moment of inertia during revolution at constant and not constant frequencies of rotation of the engine as well.
