Abstract
The present invention relates to a metallurgical composition for making compacted parts, comprising: (a) at least about 80 percent by weight of an iron or iron-based powder; (b) up to about 20 percent by weight of at least one alloying powder; (c) from about 0.05 to about 2 percent by weight of a binding agent comprising a C-Cfatty alcohol; and (d) from about 0.001 to about 0.2 percent by weight of a flow agent.
