Abstract

The invention relates to ferrous metallurgy. A steel composition for welded structures contains, wt. %: carbon – 0.10-0.15, silicon – 0.30-0.80, manganese – 0.46-2.40, chromium – 0.10-2.30, cerium – 0.003-0.08, aluminum – 0.04-0.08, calcium – 0.003-0.08, copper – 0.3-0.6, sulfur – 0.003-0.010, phosphorus – 0.010-0.020 and iron – is the rest. Technical result: the steel composition for welded structures in the mentioned proportions provides the increase of strength characteristics for high strength grade of S390, S440, S590 and ensure the capacity requirements for welding, plasticity, guarantee of continuous and resistance to laminar destruction, guaranteed level of mechanical properties in the direction of rolled metal thickness.
