Abstract

A wide-range farm unit comprises a frame consisting of two or more sections on which working elements are mounted. Adjacent sections are hingedly connected to each other. The following connecting devices are attached to the frame: first, for working movement of the unit, disposed in front of the frame, and the second, for transport movement of the unit in the direction perpendicular to the direction of the working movement, mounted on the side of the frame. Transport wheels are disposed on rotary supports attached to the frame in such a manner as to allow arranging in two positions: working, when the wheels are arranged higher than the lower limits of the working elements, and transport, such that the unit rests on the soil by these wheels. The unit comprises a device for transferring the transport wheels from the working position into the transport one and vice versa. The supports with the transport wheels are disposed on the side of the frame, which is opposite as regards to the attachment place of the second connecting device, symmetrically to the longitudinal axis O-O of the unit and in such a manner as to allow turning thereof in the plane perpendicular to the axis O-O. The connection of the sections of the frame to each other is carried out by means of plates fixed to each of the sections, which are overlap each other and in which openings for inserting connecting rods hereinto are made one opposite the other. One of the openings in one of the plates is shaped as a groove, and the other openings are made as round ones.
