Abstract
A process for the production of the plasticized polystyrene from waste polystyrene foam is proposed as a main component for the manufacture of plastic products. The method includes in consequence the preparation of solution of these waste in gum turpentine, which also acts as its plasticizer, and partial removal of turpentine from the solution to the content of 30-35%. The method allows producing plasticized polystyrene with preset amount of plasticizer depending on the properties of the polymer and plasticizer and application of plastic products.
