Abstract

The invention relates to the field of ferrous metallurgy. The aim of the invention, which relates to the device for direct reduction of iron consists in that a device contains the furnace for direct reduction, equipped with plasma chemical coal gasificators in the bottom part of which plasmotrons of indirect action, fuel nozzle for the supply of oxygen-containing gas and water steam are set. Solidphase reduction of iron is carried out with reducing gas mixture, got as a result of gasification of coal under the action of plasma streams, oxygen-containing gas and water steam. The supply of reducing gas from every plasma chemical coal gasificator into the furnace of direct reduction is carried out by two pipelines on two levels which include furnace proper. In addition the method of iron direct reduction is claimed, in which the mentioned above device is used. Technical result: the process of iron direct reduction is provided with high-quality by composition and temperature reducing gas due to plasma gasification of coal.
