Abstract

A gas vortex type separator is intended for catching fine dispersed and aerosol liquid and solid particles from the gas flow and can be used in petroleum, gas, chemical and other branches of industry. The gas vortex type separator contains a vertical cylindrical housing, upper and lower bottoms, inlet, outlet and drain branch pipes, a deflector with a baffle plate, a separation packet with convex plates and slit channels, an intermediate bottom and, at least, one horizontal plate fastened without clearance on the internal wall of the housing of separator in the area between the separation packet and housing. In the case one of the ends of horizontal plate is placed near the outlet from the deflector, and the plate itself is made in the form of a part of the ring, in the case the width of horizontal plate is greater than the width of outlet from the deflector and smaller than the distance from separation packet to the housing of separator. Is achieved the improvement of the known gas vortex type separators, increase of efficiency of separation and catching of fine dispersed and aerosol liquid and solid particles from the gas flow by increase of average curvilinear way of gas-liquid flow around separation packet without increase of external overall sizes of the separator.
