Abstract
The invention relates to ceramic industry, particularly to the compositions of ceramic constructional materials and the processes for their preparation. The process for the preparation of silicon-carbide glass ceramic comprises mixing of silicone carbide, binder and admixture, drying, forming and baking of products in carbon medium. The process is characterized with that as additive the kaolin of trade mark МК-0 is used, and the components are mixed by dry process in ratio of silicon carbide of fraction 3-8 micrometers and silicon carbide of fraction 80-10 micrometers, binder, kaolin (19-22):(29-33):(35-40):(8-14) correspondingly, and baking is carried out at temperature 1200-1250 °С. The binder is also proposed for the preparation of silicon-carbide glass ceramic, containing SiО, CaO and NаО, in determined component ratio. The invention provides the obtaining of silicon-carbide ceramic with improved mechanical, wear resistant and strength characteristics.
