Abstract
The invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, especially to technology for production of steel by oxygen-converter method, and can be used for conduction of oxygen-converter smelting with preliminary heating in the converter of solid metal charge, containing scrap and a cutting waste, which surface is coated with lubrication-cooling liquid. A method comprises the loading in a bath of solid metal charge, which contains the scrap and the cutting waste, which surface is coated with lubrication-cooling liquid, and also pouring cast iron, blowing oxygen, input lime to the bath and refining of metal, performed in series.
