Abstract

The present invention relates to an end cock for the air line of a rolling stock for railway transport, wherein said cock comprises a body (1) with an inlet opening (2), an intermediate discharge opening (3), an opening (4) for an angular pipe (5) and an opening (6) leading into the atmosphere. The cock also includes a closure member in the shape of a spherical rotating plug (21) formed with curved through-channel (22). The plug is mounted so as to rest tightly against opposite annual seals (8) which are made in the shape of seal liners. The plug is capable of rotation about its horizontal axis which is perpendicular to the plane defined by the axis of the inlet opening (2) and by the axis of the angular pipe (5) opening (4). The cock further includes an inlet fitting (9), a compensation ring (44) mounted between the end surface of the inlet fitting (9) and the annular seals (8) resting thereon, an actuator in the shape of a spindle (11) having a handle (12) mounting thereon and connected to the closure member, as well as steppers and arresters for the extreme positions of said closure member.
