Method of arc welding by consumable electrode under shielding gases, at which several monatomic, polyatomic gases or their mixtures are supplied into the combustion area of arc by pulses. The frequency of alternation of the pulse of supply of different gases or their mixtures is selected to be equal or close to natural frequency of oscillation of the molten volume of the weld pool.
