Abstract
A device for producing continuous ingot contains a crystallizer with cooled walls, a priming, and mechanisms of extraction and mixing metal. For the purpose of increase of crystallizer output and improvement of the quality of ingot the walls of initial part of the crystallizer are made from low-heat-conducting refractory material, and openings are made therein, in which metallic cooled blocks are installed. The invention relates to metallurgy, in particular, to pouring of steel and alloys and can be used for pouring nonferrous metals and alloys.
