Abstract
A method for melting high-carbon ferromanganese comprises preliminary agglomeration of manganese ore raw material, loading agglomerated manganese ore flux, reducer and metal additive to electrical furnace, their fusion penetration, and periodic discharge of the melt from the furnace. For the purpose of increasing removal manganese and reduction of specific discharge of electric energy a specific part of necessary for obtaining ferromanganese manganese ore raw material is agglomerated by briquetting along with reducer.
