Abstract

Diffuser cap (1) for ambient diffusion comprising a main body (2), having a seat (3) adapted to accommodate a head (T) of a perfume bottle (B), wherein the seat (3) comprises an absorbent element (4), adapted to absorb the fragrance when the head (T) is pressed and to gradually release the fragrance. The diffuser cap (1) according to the utility model solves the problem in the prior art that it is difficult to perfume the environment with a bottle equipped with a spray mechanism, aimed at dispensing a focused amount of perfume, for example on a certain part of the body.

Description

Diffuser cap for diffusing fragrance into the surrounding area and a kit containing the diffuser cap

The object of the following novel invention is to provide a diffuser cap capable of diffusing perfume contained in a bottle (especially one equipped with a spray mechanism).

The purpose of this new product is to be used in the field of diffusing perfume to the surrounding area.

Ambient devices capable of dispensing fragrance are known in the prior art and include a dispenser adapted to diffuse the fragrance via, for example, a reed diffuser.

These diffusers use a series of reeds that are dipped in the fragrance and gradually diffuse the fragrance into the environment.

Problems with previous technologies

Without an ambient diffuser, it's not easy to scent an area or room, for example, with personal perfume. In fact, scenting an environment with a bottle equipped with a spray mechanism designed to dispense a certain amount of perfume to, for example, a part of the body is difficult and impractical.

Disadvantageously, in order to distribute a certain fragrance throughout an environment, the fragrance must be placed in an ambient diffuser, such as a reed diffuser.

The object of this invention is to provide a diffuser device capable of diffusing the fragrance contained in a perfume bottle.

The technical task and the stated purpose are substantially achieved by a diffuser cover comprising one or more of the technical features set forth in the attached patent application.

Advantages of the new model

According to one embodiment of the present invention, a diffuser cover can be obtained that can overcome the shortcomings of the prior art.

Advantageously, by means of one embodiment, a diffuser cap is obtained that is capable of diffusing the fragrance contained in a conventional perfume bottle.

The purpose of this novel invention is to provide a diffuser cap 1 for diffusing fragrance to the surroundings, as shown in the accompanying drawings.

The diffuser cap 1 includes a main body 2. The main body 2 has a seat 3 shaped to accommodate the head T of a perfume bottle B having a spray dispensing mechanism. The seat 3 is provided with a first through-hole 5, through which the head T can be inserted to be received in the seat 3.

When in use, use the diffuser cap 1 together with the perfume bottle B containing any fragrance.

The term "perfume bottle B" refers to any known container for perfume for scenting the body, preferably having a spray dispensing mechanism, and thus comprises a vial F, a head T adapted to dispense the perfume when pressed, and a cap for covering the head T (not shown in the accompanying figures).

Furthermore, the diffuser cover 1 includes an absorbent element 4 housed in the seat 3. The main body 2 also includes at least one second through hole 6 located in the seat 3 and different from the first through hole 5.

Advantageously, this diffuser cap 1 allows the fragrance contained in a perfume bottle to be diffused onto a person. In this way, fragrance can also be diffused within a room or public area. In other words, after replacing the cover with the diffuser cap 1, the head T of the perfume bottle B is inserted into the seat 3, the diffuser cap 1 is placed on the perfume bottle B (Figures 5a and 5b), and the head T is pressed. The absorbent element 4 absorbs the dispensed fragrance and then gradually diffuses it via the second through-hole 6. In this way, the fragrance contained in the perfume bottle B is diffused into the surrounding environment.

In a preferred form of the present invention, the main body 2 has a cylindrical shape with a cylindrical side wall 21, an upper circular base and a lower circular base.

Therefore, in the following description, for the sake of simplicity, the main body 2 is considered to be cylindrical. Alternatively, the main body 2 may have a different polyhedral shape, such as a cube or a parallelepiped.

Preferably, the first through-hole 5 is located at the lower circular base, and the second through-hole 6 is located at the upper circular base. In other words, the first through-hole 5 faces the second through-hole 6. This allows the diffuser cap 1 to be used to replace the cap of a perfume bottle B, as the head T of the perfume bottle B can be inserted into the seat 3 through the first through-hole 5. Once inserted, the head T can be pressed by the user through the second through-hole 6 to saturate the absorbent element 4.

Preferably, the diameter of the first through-hole 5 is smaller than the diameter of the second through-hole 6. In other words, as shown in Figures 4a and 4b, the main body 2 includes a rim 22, preferably circular, adapted to surround the head T of the perfume bottle B once it has been inserted into the seat 3 through the first through-hole 5. More preferably, the rim 22 is located at the lower circular base of the main body 2 and extends from the cylindrical sidewall 21 to the first through-hole 5.

Preferably, the second through-hole 6 extends along the entire upper circular base of the main body 2. In other words, once the cap of the perfume bottle B is replaced with the diffuser cap 1, the head T can be directly accessed through the second through-hole 6, as its diameter allows the head T to be pressed.

In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the cylindrical sidewall 21 of the main body 2 has a plurality of through-holes 7. It should be noted that these plurality of through-holes 7, together with the second through-holes 6, advantageously promote the diffusion of fragrance through the absorbent element 4.

Preferably, the plurality of through holes 7 are arranged along the circumferential direction C of the main body 2. In alternative embodiments not shown in the accompanying figures, the plurality of through holes 7 are arranged along different directions, or (always alternatively) are not arranged in any predetermined geometric shape.

In a preferred embodiment, the absorbent element 4 and the main body 2 are coaxial. Specifically, the absorbent element 4 is shaped like a ring or tube and has an outer surface 41 facing the cylindrical sidewall 21 of the main body 2. Preferably, the outer surface 41 of the absorbent element 4 at least partially contacts the cylindrical sidewall 21 of the main body 2. Furthermore, the absorbent element 4 has a corresponding inner surface 42 that surrounds the head T of the perfume bottle B when the head T is inserted.

Preferably, the absorbent element 4 and the main body 2 have substantially equal extension along the longitudinal axis A.

In a preferred embodiment, as shown in FIG2 , the absorbent element 4 is removable from the seat 3 . Advantageously, this allows the absorbent element 4 to be replaced, for example, when changing the fragrance or perfume bottle B. Specifically, the absorbent element 4 rests on the rim 22 at the lower circular base of the main body 2 when inserted.

Alternatively, the absorbent element 4 may be attached to the main body 2, for example by adhesive means.

Preferably, the absorbent element 4 is at least partially made of a natural or synthetic material capable of absorbing and releasing fragrance.

In a preferred embodiment, the absorbent element 4 is at least partially made of a porous material selected from ceramic, wood, velcro, or paper. Advantageously, this porous material promotes absorption of the dispensed fragrance and also allows it to diffuse through the second through-hole 6 and gradually through the plurality of through-holes 7.

In the first configuration, diffuser cap 1 is placed on perfume bottle B so that the edge 22 of the lower circular base surrounds the head T, as shown in Figures 5a and 5b. In other words, in this first configuration, since the head T of perfume bottle B is inserted into the seat 3 of diffuser cap 1 through the first through-hole 5, diffuser cap 1 functions as a diffuser. In practice, during use, the second through-hole 6, which has a larger diameter than the first through-hole 5, allows the user to press on the head T of perfume bottle B. In this way, the absorbent element 4 absorbs the fragrance dispensed by the porous material and diffuses it into the environment through the second through-hole 6 and the plurality of through-holes 7.

Alternatively, diffuser cap 1 can be inverted to achieve a second configuration, in which first through-hole 5 is located at the upper circular base and second through-hole 6 is located at the lower circular base. In this second configuration, diffuser cap 1 functions as a cap, as pressurization of the head T of perfume bottle B is hindered. In other words, rim 22 at the upper circular base also restricts diffusion of fragrance, while first through-hole 5, which has a smaller diameter than second through-hole 6, restricts a user from pressing the head T of perfume bottle B. Advantageously, this second configuration allows diffuser cap 1 to be used as a closure for perfume bottle B without having to replace diffuser cap 1 with a conventional closure.

The present invention also aims to provide a kit 8 comprising at least one diffuser cap 1 according to the present invention and at least one perfume bottle B including a head T and having a spray dispensing mechanism, wherein the head T can be inserted into the first through hole 5 to be received in the base 3.

Claims (10)

A diffuser cap for diffusing fragrance to the surroundings comprises: a main body (2) having a seat (3) shaped to accommodate a head (T) of a perfume bottle (B) having a spray dispensing mechanism, the seat (3) being provided with a first through hole (5), the head (T) being insertable into the first through hole to be received in the seat (3), and is characterized in that the diffuser cap comprises: an absorption element (4) received in the seat (3), wherein the main body (2) comprises at least one second through hole (6) which is located at the seat (3) and is different from the first through hole (5). The diffuser cover according to claim 1, wherein the main body (2) is substantially cylindrical, having a cylindrical side wall (21), a lower circular base and an upper circular base. The diffuser cover according to claim 2, wherein the first through hole (5) is at the lower circular base and the second through hole (6) is at the upper circular base. A diffuser cover according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the first through hole (5) has a diameter that is smaller than the diameter of the second through hole (6). A diffuser cover according to claim 2 or 3, wherein the cylindrical side wall (21) of the main body (2) has a plurality of through holes (7). The diffuser cover according to claim 5, wherein the plurality of through holes (7) are arranged along a circumferential direction (C) of the main body (2). A diffuser cover according to claim 2 or 3, wherein the absorption element (4) and the main body (2) are coaxial with each other, the absorption element (4) is annular or tubular and has an outer surface (41) facing the cylindrical side wall (21) of the main body (2). A diffuser cover as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the absorption element (4) is removable from the seat (3). A diffuser cover according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the absorption element (4) is at least partially made of a porous material selected from ceramic, wood, Velcro or paper. A kit comprising: at least one diffuser cap according to any one of claims 1 to 9, at least one perfume bottle (B) comprising a head (T) and having a spray dispensing mechanism, wherein the head (T) can be inserted into the first through hole (5) to be received in the seat (3).
