Abstract

Description

External voice switchboard system and external voice switchboard device

This work relates to telephone communication systems; in particular, to an external voice switchboard system and an external voice switchboard device.

A traditional private branch exchange (PBX) is connected to a public switched telephone network (PSTN), and the private branch exchange is connected to multiple telephones, which can communicate with each other through the private branch exchange, i.e., internal calls. Each telephone can dial to the public switched telephone network through the private branch exchange, or the private branch exchange can transfer incoming calls from the public switched telephone network to a specific telephone, i.e., external calls.

However, the price of a dedicated switch with the function of identifying incoming voice calls is expensive. Owners of traditional dedicated switches will incur high expenses if they replace their existing dedicated switches.

In view of this, the purpose of this invention is to provide an external voice switchboard system, which connects to a traditional dedicated switch through the external voice switchboard device, provides a voice recognition function, and transfers the incoming call to a specific extension number.

In order to achieve the above-mentioned purpose, the invention provides an external voice switchboard system for connecting to a public switched telephone network. The external voice switchboard system includes a dedicated switch and an external voice switchboard device. The dedicated switch has a plurality of telephone connection ports. The telephone connection ports include a plurality of first telephone connection ports and at least one second telephone connection port. Each of the first telephone connection ports corresponds to an extension number and is used to connect to a telephone. The external voice switchboard device comprises at least one first connection port, at least one second connection port, a data storage device and a first processing device, wherein the at least one first connection port is connected to the public switched telephone network; the at least one second connection port is connected to at least one second telephone connection port of the private switch; the data storage device stores a plurality of communication data, each of which includes an extension number; the first processing device is electrically connected to the at least one first connection port. The first processing device establishes a first call connection according to an external call signal from the public switched telephone network, the first processing device recognizes a call destination information according to an incoming call voice in the first call connection, searches for one of the communication data corresponding to the call destination information from the data storage device and obtains a corresponding extension number; the first processing device processes the at least one second connection port according to the external call signal from the public switched telephone network, and the first processing device processes the at least one second connection port according to the external call signal from the public switched telephone network. The at least one second connection port of a first connection port and the at least one second telephone connection port corresponding to the at least one second connection port transmit a dial signal corresponding to the extension number to the private switch, and the private switch transmits the dial signal to the telephone corresponding to the extension number. When the first processing device determines that the telephone corresponding to the extension number responds to the dial signal, the first processing device transfers the first call connection to the telephone corresponding to the extension number.

The invention also provides an external voice switchboard device for connecting a public switched telephone network and a private switch, the private switch corresponding to a plurality of extension numbers, the external voice switchboard device comprises at least one first connection port, at least one second connection port, a data storage device and a first processing device, the at least one first connection port is connected to the public switched telephone network; the at least one second connection port is connected to the private switch; the data storage device stores a plurality of communication data, each of which includes an extension number; the first processing device is electrically connected to the at least one first connection port, the at least one second connection port and the data storage device, the first processing device processes a call based on an external line from the public switched telephone network The first processing device recognizes a call destination information according to an incoming call voice in the first call connection, searches one of the communication data corresponding to the call destination information from the data storage device and obtains a corresponding extension number; the first processing device transmits a dial signal corresponding to the extension number to the private switch through the at least one second connection port corresponding to the at least one first connection port and the at least one second telephone connection port corresponding to the at least one second connection port. The effect of this invention is that the first processing device can obtain the corresponding extension number by recognizing the target information from the incoming call voice, providing a voice recognition function, and the first processing device can transfer the incoming call to the corresponding extension number according to the external call signal. The purpose of transferring the call to a specific extension number according to the caller's voice can be achieved without replacing a dedicated switch, thereby improving the problem of high cost expenditure caused by replacing the original dedicated switch.

In order to explain the invention more clearly, a preferred embodiment is given and described in detail with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 shows an external voice switchboard system 100 of a preferred embodiment of the invention, which is used to connect to a public switched telephone network 1 and includes a dedicated switch 20 and an external voice switchboard device 40.

The dedicated switch 20 has a plurality of telephone connection ports 22, which include a plurality of first telephone connection ports 221 and at least one second telephone connection port 222, wherein each of the first telephone connection ports 221 corresponds to an extension number and is used to connect a telephone 2, and internal calls can be established between the telephones 2; the dedicated switch 20 includes a second processing device 24, which is electrically connected to the first telephone connection ports 221 and the at least one second telephone connection port 222.

As shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 , the external voice switchboard device 40 includes at least one first connection port 41, at least one second connection port 42, a data storage device 43, a first processing device 44, and a network connection port 46, wherein the at least one first connection port 41 is connected to the public switched telephone network 1; the at least one second connection port 42 is connected to at least one second telephone connection port 222 of the private switch 20; the data storage device 43 stores a plurality of communication data and a plurality of status data, each of which includes an extension number; the status data includes a first status data, a second status data, and a third status data. In this embodiment, the data storage device 43 stores a plurality of communication data and a plurality of status data. The device 43 may be, for example, a non-volatile memory, such as a hard drive, a memory card, or a cloud storage space. Each of the communication data may be, for example, the communication data of each employee of the company. The first processing device 44 includes a switching module 442 and a voice processing module 444. In this embodiment, the first processing device 44 may be, for example, a processor. The switching module 442 and the voice processing module 444 may be software modules respectively, but are not limited thereto and may also be hardware modules.

The switching module 442 is electrically connected to the data storage device 43 to directly access the data storage device 43. A first signal converter 48 is also provided between the switching module 442 and the at least one first connection port 41. The switching module 442 is electrically connected to the at least one first connection port 41 through the first signal converter 48. The first signal converter 48 is used to convert the analog signal from the public switched telephone network 1 into a corresponding digital signal and transmit it to the switching module 442. In this embodiment, the dedicated switch 20 can be analog or digital. The received/sent signal is analog. The first processing device 44 is digital, and the received/sent signal is a digital signal. Therefore, a second signal converter 49 is further provided between the adapter module 442 and the at least one second connection port 42. The adapter module 442 is electrically connected to the at least one second connection port 42 via the second signal converter 49. The second signal converter 49 is used to convert the analog signal from the dedicated switch 20 into a corresponding digital signal and transmit it to the adapter module 442, or to convert the digital signal from the adapter module 442 into a corresponding analog signal and transmit it to the dedicated switch 20.

The voice processing module 444 is electrically connected to the switching module 442 and the data storage device 43. The voice processing module 444 is used to recognize a call target information according to an incoming call voice.

In other embodiments, the switching module 442 electrically connected to the data storage device 43 may be omitted, so that the switching module 442 accesses the data storage device 43 through the voice processing module 444.

The network connection port 46 is electrically connected to the switching module 442 and is used to connect to a network 3. Each of the communication data also includes a communication account, and the communication account is used for the switching module 442 to connect to an external electronic device 4 through the network 3. In this embodiment, the external electronic device 4 may include but is not limited to a mobile phone, a VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) phone, a SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) relay, a tablet computer, and other devices that have the function of connecting to the network 3. Among them, when the external electronic device 4 is a SIP relay, the phone 2 can make a call by connecting to a remote PSTN through the SIP protocol to achieve the purpose of saving costs.

In practice, when a caller dials the external voice switchboard device 40 through the public switched telephone network 1, an external call signal from the public switched telephone network 1 is transmitted to the first signal converter 48 via the at least one first connection port 41. The first signal converter 48 converts the external call signal from an analog signal into a corresponding digital signal and transmits it to the switching module 442. The switching module 442 establishes a first call connection based on the external call signal. When the voice processing module 444 determines that the incoming voice in the first call connection has the receiving target information, the voice processing module 444 searches for one of the communication data corresponding to the receiving target information from the data storage device 43 and obtains the corresponding extension number.

When the voice processing module 444 compares the call target information with the communication data and the communication data includes the communication account, the voice processing module 444 transmits a dial signal corresponding to the extension number to the second signal converter 49 through the switching module 442 according to the external call signal. The second signal converter 49 converts the dial signal from a digital signal to a corresponding analog signal and transmits the dial signal to the at least one second connection port 42 corresponding to the at least one first connection port 41 and the at least one second connection port 42 corresponding to the at least one second connection port 41. The at least one second telephone connection port 222 of the connection port 42 transmits the dial signal to the second processing device 24, and the second processing device 24 transmits the dial signal to the telephone 2 corresponding to the extension number via the first telephone connection port 221. In addition, the voice processing module 444 is also connected to the network 3 via the network connection port 46 through the switching module 442 to transmit a call request signal to the external electronic device 4 corresponding to the communication account to notify the external electronic device 4 that there is an incoming call.

When the telephone 2 corresponding to the extension number responds to the dial signal, the second processing device 24 generates a first status voice, for example, "the extension is being transferred". The voice processing module 444 receives the first status voice, and when the first status voice is compared to the first status data, the voice processing module 444 transfers the first call connection to the telephone 2 corresponding to the extension number through the transfer module 442 through the second processing device 24, and stops sending the call request signal to the external electronic device 4, so that the user can answer the incoming call on the telephone 2. When the telephone 2 corresponding to the extension number is in a busy state and the external electronic device 4 does not respond to the call request signal, the second processing device 24 generates a second status voice accordingly, for example, "the extension is busy". The voice processing module 444 receives the second status voice and, when comparing the second status voice to the second status data, the voice processing module 444 plays a reply status voice in the first call connection, for example, "the phone you dialed is busy, please call again later", and stops sending the call request signal to the external electronic device 4. When the first telephone connection port 221 corresponding to the extension number is not connected to the telephone 2, the second processing device 24 generates a third status voice accordingly, for example, "the extension does not exist". The voice processing module 444 receives the third status voice, and when the third status voice is compared with the third status data, the voice processing module 444 plays the reply status voice in the first call connection, for example, "the phone you dialed does not exist, please check and call again." When the switching module 442 determines that the telephone 2 corresponding to the extension number does not respond to the dial signal, and the external electronic device 4 responds to the call request signal, the switching module 442 transfers the first call connection to the external electronic device 4, that is, the external electronic device 4 is used as an extension, so that the user of the external electronic device 4 can directly use the external electronic device 4 to talk to the caller.

In addition, when the telephone 2 transmits a first outgoing external line signal to the second processing device 24, the second processing device 24 transmits the first outgoing external line signal to the second signal converter 49 through the at least one second telephone connection port 222 and the at least one second connection port 42 corresponding to the at least one second telephone connection port 222. The second signal converter 49 converts the first outgoing external line signal from an analog signal to a corresponding digital signal and transmits it to the second processing device 24. The first dial-out signal is sent to the switching module 442. The switching module 442 controls the at least one first connection port 41 corresponding to the at least one second connection port 42 to be in an occupied state and establishes a second call connection. Then, the telephone 2 transmits a second dial-out signal corresponding to the extension number to the second processing device 24. The second processing device 24 receives the second call through the at least one second telephone connection port 222 and the at least one second telephone connection port 42. The at least one second connection port 42 of the port 222 transmits the second dial-out signal to the second signal converter 49. The second signal converter 49 converts the second dial-out signal from an analog signal to a corresponding digital signal and transmits it to the switching module 442. The switching module 442 obtains a corresponding communication account according to the second dial-out signal. The switching module 442 transmits the call request signal to the corresponding communication account through the network connection port 46. The external electronic device 4 of the communication account; when the external electronic device 4 responds to the call request signal, the switching module 442 switches the second call connection to the external electronic device 4; when the second call connection ends, the switching module 442 terminates the busy state of the at least one first connection port 41, so that the incoming call from the public switched telephone network 1 can continue to dial the external voice switchboard device 40 through the at least one first connection port 41.

In this embodiment, the user of the telephone 2 can, for example, input "0" to the telephone 2 to form the first dial-out signal, so that the telephone 2 transmits the first dial-out signal to the second processing device 24. In this way, the user of the telephone 2 only needs to input "0" to the telephone 2 first, and then input the extension number of the user corresponding to the external electronic device 4 to form the second dial-out signal, so that the telephone 2 transmits the second dial-out signal to the second processing device 24. The second processing device 24 transmits the second dial-out signal to the switching module 442, and can dial the external electronic device 4 of the user corresponding to the extension number, so as to improve the convenience of internal calls.

When the switching module 442 determines that the external electronic device 4 does not respond to the call request signal within a predetermined time, the switching module 442 stops transmitting the call request signal to the external electronic device 4. The switching module 442 switches the second call connection to the telephone 2 corresponding to the extension number of the communication account through the second processing device 24. In this embodiment, the predetermined time can be adjusted as needed.

Each of the communication data further includes an external telephone number, and the external telephone number is used by the switching module 442 to dial to the public switched telephone network 1 corresponding to the external telephone number.

In practice, when the telephone 2 transmits an internal call signal to the second processing device 24, the second processing device 24 transmits the internal call signal to the switching module 442 via the at least one second telephone connection port 222 and the at least one second connection port 42 corresponding to the at least one second telephone connection port 222, and the switching module 442 determines that the internal call signal includes the communication account, and determines that the internal call signal includes the communication account. When the communication data containing the communication account includes the external telephone number, the switching module 442 controls the at least one first connection port 41 corresponding to the at least one second connection port 42 to be in the busy state and establishes a third call connection according to the internal call signal, and the switching module 442 transmits the call request signal to the external electronic device 4 corresponding to the communication account through the network connection port 46 according to the internal call signal. When the switching module 442 determines that the external electronic device 4 responds to the call request signal, the switching module 442 switches the third call connection to the external electronic device 4. When the third call connection ends, the switching module 442 terminates the busy state of the at least one first connection port 41, so that the incoming call from the public switched telephone network 1 can continue to dial the external voice switchboard device 40 through the at least one first connection port 41.

When the switching module 442 determines that the external electronic device 4 does not respond to the call request signal within the predetermined time, the switching module 442 stops transmitting the call request signal to the external electronic device 4, and the voice processing module 444 plays a reply voice in the third call connection, for example, "The call you dialed is not answered, and the call will be automatically transferred to an external line", and the switching module 442 obtains the external line corresponding to the communication account from the data storage device 43 according to the internal call signal. The switching module 442 switches the third call connection to the public switched telephone network 1 corresponding to the external telephone number. Thus, when the user of the telephone 2 dials the external electronic device 4 and no one answers the external electronic device 4, the call can be automatically switched to the public switched telephone network 1 corresponding to the external telephone number without the user of the telephone 2 manually inputting the external telephone number into the telephone 2, thereby improving the convenience of the internal telephone calling the external telephone.

As shown in FIG. 3 , in another embodiment, the at least one second telephone connection port 222, the at least one second connection port 42, and the at least one first connection port 41 are all plural. When the telephone 2 transmits the internal call signal to the second processing device 24, the second processing device 24 transmits the internal call signal to the switching module 442 via the second telephone connection port 222 and the second connection port 42 corresponding to the second telephone connection port 222. The switching module 442 determines whether the internal call is a call. When the electrical signal includes the external telephone number, the switching module 442 establishes a fourth call connection according to the internal call signal and transmits an external call request signal to the public switched telephone network 1 corresponding to the external telephone number through the first connection port 41 corresponding to the second connection port 42; when the public switched telephone network 1 corresponding to the external telephone number responds to the external call request signal, the switching module 442 switches the fourth call connection to the public switched telephone network 1 corresponding to the external telephone number. In another embodiment, the at least one second telephone connection port 222, the at least one second connection port 42 and the at least one first connection port 41 are all plural. In summary, in addition to providing the voice recognition function through the voice processing module 444, the first processing device 44 and the second processing device 24 can automatically transfer the call to the telephone 2 or the external electronic device 4 corresponding to the communication data according to the external call signal and the internal call signal, and can also connect to the network 3 through the network connection port 46 to use the external electronic device 4 as an extension. In addition, in conjunction with the second call connection and the third call connection, the switching module 442 controls the at least one first connection port 41 corresponding to the at least one second connection port 42 to be in the busy state, so that the incoming call from the public switched telephone network 1 cannot be dialed to the external voice exchange. Device 40 is used to avoid being disturbed by incoming calls in the second call connection and the third call connection. The switching module 442 will not terminate the busy state of the at least one first connection port 41 until the second call connection and the third call connection are terminated, so that the incoming call from the public switched telephone network 1 can continue to dial the external voice switchboard device 40. In this way, there is no need to replace the dedicated switch 20 to achieve the purpose of switching to a specific extension number based on the caller's voice. At the same time, it can also improve the convenience of internal calls to external calls and expand the number of extensions of the same extension user, so as to improve the problem of high cost expenditure caused by replacing the original dedicated switch 20.
