Abstract

The invention provides a baseball bat, which includes a striking section, a tapered section and a grip section, wherein the striking section and the tapered section both extend along an axis of the baseball bat and are symmetrically arranged relative to the axis, and the grip section extends along the axis and has a front edge and a rear edge, a handle is connected between the front edge and the rear edge, and a protrusion is provided on one side of the handle facing the front edge, so that the grip section is asymmetrically arranged relative to the axis, and the front edge can be partially grasped by a batter's fingers, and the protrusion can be supported by the lower edge of the batter's fingers; thereby, the outer shape structure of the grip section of the baseball bat of the invention conforms to ergonomics, which can reduce the discomfort of the batter's fingers when the batter swings the bat and can quickly grasp the gripping position of the bat, thereby increasing the hitting force.

Description

Bat

This work is about the structure of a baseball bat, especially a baseball bat with an asymmetrically arranged grip.

Please refer to FIG. 1 , which is a side view of a baseball bat 1. The baseball bat 1 has a striking section 2, a tapered section 3 and a grip section 4, wherein the tapered section 3 is connected between the striking section 2 and the grip section 4, and the grip section 4 has a circular handle 5 at its rear end. The outer diameter of the handle 5 is larger than that of the grip section 4, and the striking section 2, the tapered section 3, the grip section 4 and the handle 5 all extend along the axis L0 of the baseball bat 1 and are symmetrically arranged relative to the axis L0.

Therefore, most of the baseball bats on the market are symmetrical baseball bats 1 as shown in FIG. 1 . The batter's fingers cannot be fixed in the same position. Therefore, when swinging the bat, the lower edge of the fingers is easily squeezed and rubbed against the round handle 5, causing the fingers to be easily injured. In addition, with this symmetrical baseball bat 1, the batter cannot quickly grasp the gripping position of the bat 1. Therefore, it is known that the baseball bat 1 still has many aspects that need to be improved.

In order to solve the above-mentioned problem, the invention provides a baseball bat, the grip section of which is asymmetrically arranged so that the outer shape structure of the grip section conforms to ergonomics.

To achieve the above-mentioned purpose, the present invention provides a baseball bat, which includes: a striking section, which extends along an axis and is symmetrically arranged relative to the axis; a tapered section, one end of which is connected to the striking section, extends along the axis, and is symmetrically arranged relative to the axis; and a grip section, which is connected to the other end of the tapered section and extends along the axis, the grip section having a front edge and a rear edge, a handle connected between the front edge and the rear edge, wherein the handle has a protrusion on one side facing the front edge, so that the grip section is asymmetrically arranged relative to the axis, and the front edge can be partially grasped by a batter's finger, and the protrusion can be blocked by the lower edge of the batter's finger.

The protrusion extends from the tail end of the handle.

The cross section of the handle perpendicular to the axis from the protrusion is non-circular and is eccentrically arranged relative to the striking section.

There is a concave arc surface between the protrusion and the front edge.

There is an inclined surface between the protrusion and the rear edge.

The cross section of the inclined surface is non-circular.

The cross section of the inclined surface is elliptical.

The outer diameter of the tapered section is tapered from the striking section toward the grip section.

Thus, the grip section of the baseball bat of the invention is asymmetrically arranged. Through the convex and concave arc surfaces of the grip section, the overall shape structure of the grip section is ergonomic. When the batter swings the bat, the fingers can be fixed in the same position, thereby reducing the discomfort of the fingers when swinging the bat. In addition, because the grip section is ergonomically designed, the batter can also quickly grasp the grip position of the bat, thereby increasing the hitting power.

In order to facilitate the explanation of the central idea of the invention in the above-mentioned novel content column, a specific embodiment is used for expression. It is necessary to first explain that various objects in the embodiment are drawn in proportions suitable for enumeration and description, rather than in proportions of actual elements.

Referring to FIGS. 2 to 6 , the present invention provides a baseball bat 100, which includes:

A hitting section 10 extends along an axis L1 of the bat 100 and is symmetrically arranged with respect to the axis L1.

A tapered section 20 has one end connected to the striking section 10 and extends along the axis L1 and is symmetrically arranged relative to the axis L1.

A grip section 30 is connected to the other end of the tapered section 20 and extends along the axis L1, so that the outer diameter of the tapered section 20 is tapered from the striking section 10 toward the grip section 30, as shown in FIG. 4 .

The grip section 30 has a front edge 31 and a rear edge 32, and a handle 33 is connected between the front edge 31 and the rear edge 32, wherein the handle 33 has a protrusion 34 on one side facing the front edge 31, and the protrusion 34 extends from the rear end of the handle 33, so that the grip section 30 is asymmetrically arranged relative to the axis L1, as shown in FIG4, and the cross section of the handle 33 perpendicular to the axis L1 by the protrusion 34 is non-circular, and is eccentrically arranged relative to the striking section 10, as shown in FIG5 and FIG6, and a concave arc surface 35 is provided between the protrusion 34 and the front edge 31, and an inclined surface 36 is provided between the protrusion 34 and the rear edge 32, and the cross section of the inclined surface 36 is non-circular, preferably, elliptical.

Thereby, when the batter swings the bat, the front edge 31 of the grip section 30 can be grasped by the batter's fingers, especially the concave arc surface 35 can be grasped by the batter's lower hand, and the protrusion 34 can be abutted by the lower edge of the batter's lower hand fingers, so as to fix the batter's finger position.

Therefore, the grip section 30 of the baseball bat 100 of the present invention is asymmetrically arranged. With the protrusion 34 and the concave arc surface 35 of the grip section 30, the overall shape structure of the grip section 30 is ergonomic. When the batter swings the bat, the fingers can be fixed at the same position of the front edge 31 to avoid friction and squeezing between the fingers and the handle 33, thereby reducing the discomfort of the fingers when swinging the bat. In addition, because the grip section 30 is ergonomically designed, the batter can also quickly grasp the grip position of the baseball bat 100, thereby increasing the overall hitting force.

Claims (8)

A baseball bat comprises: a striking section extending along an axis and symmetrically arranged relative to the axis; a tapered section, one end of which is connected to the striking section, extending along the axis and symmetrically arranged relative to the axis; and a grip section connected to the other end of the tapered section and extending along the axis, the grip section having a front edge and a rear edge, a handle connected between the front edge and the rear edge, wherein the handle has a protrusion on one side of the front edge, so that the grip section is asymmetrically arranged relative to the axis, and the front edge can be partially grasped by a batter's finger, and the protrusion can be abutted by the lower edge of the batter's finger. A baseball bat as described in claim 1, wherein the protrusion extends from the rear end of the handle. A baseball bat as described in claim 2, wherein the cross-section of the handle taken from the protrusion perpendicular to the axis is non-circular and is eccentrically disposed relative to the striking section. A baseball bat as described in claim 1 or 3, wherein there is a concave curved surface between the protrusion and the leading edge. A baseball bat as described in claim 1 or 3, wherein there is a slope between the protrusion and the trailing edge. A baseball bat as described in claim 5, wherein the slope is non-circular. A baseball bat as described in claim 5, wherein the inclined surface is elliptical. A baseball bat as described in claim 1, wherein the outer diameter of the tapered section tapers from the striking section toward the grip section.
