Abstract

A handheld electronic device comprising a base, a monitor, a joystick, and a linking member is provided. The base has a surface with an opening and a connection end. The monitor has a pivotally connection part corresponding to the connection end and the pivotally connection part is rotatably connected to the base. The joystick is movably disposed in the base and corresponding to a position of the opening. The linking member is disposed at the connection end and is coupled to the pivotally connecting part and the joystick. When the monitor is closed, the joystick sinks into the opening. When the monitor is opened with respective to the base, the pivotally connecting part drives the joystick through the linking member to have the joystick protruding the surface.
