Abstract

A machine tool for avoiding a permanent deformation caused by temperature variation includes a workpiece table, two supporting structures respectively disposed on opposite sides of the workpiece table, a crossbeam disposed on tops of the two supporting structures, and a machining device mounted on the crossbeam. The crossbeam has a longitudinal direction, wherein a first portion of the crossbeam is located over one of the two supporting structures, and the first portion cannot move along the longitudinal direction. However, a second portion of the crossbeam is located over the other of the two supporting structures, and the second portion can move along the longitudinal direction. Furthermore, the aforementioned machining device can process a workpiece on the workpiece table.
