Abstract

An antenna selecting apparatus in a TV card module is used to select a first antenna or a second antenna to receive television signal. The antenna selecting apparatus includes a signal detecting and comparing unit and a switch unit. The signal detecting and comparing unit detects the TV signal received by the first antenna and the second antenna to determine which antenna is better to be used to receive the TV signal. Then, a control signal is generated by the signal detecting and comparing unit based on the determination result. The switch unit selects to couple with the first antenna or the second antenna based on the control signal.
