Abstract

The present invention provides a method and apparatus for providing content pages. The method of one embodiment of the present invention is implemented by an electronic device and may include the following steps: identifying a pool of rooms, the pool including one or more content rooms providing a group viewing function for a content service, wherein the content rooms are virtual spaces configured so that multiple users utilizing the content service can simultaneously view and view content published within the content service; determining a target content room in the pool of rooms to be displayed on a user terminal of the target user based on the preferences of the target user; determining a display location for the target content room; and transmitting a content page to the user terminal of the target user, the content page generated to include the target content room based on the display location.

The present invention relates to a technology for providing content pages.

With the recent surge in popularity of OTT (Over the Top) services, users can now access a wide variety of content through their devices, unconstrained by time and space. Operators of OTT services are continuously striving to provide users with appropriate content as a means of maintaining long-term user engagement with these services.

The method of one embodiment of the present invention is implemented by an electronic device and may include the following steps: identifying a room pool, wherein the room pool includes one or more content rooms with group audio-visual functions that provide content services, wherein the content rooms are virtual spaces configured in such a manner that multiple users utilizing the content services can simultaneously view and listen to the content published in the content services; based on the preferences of the target user, determining a target content room in the room pool to be displayed on the user terminal of the target user; determining a display position of the target content room; and transmitting a content page to the user terminal of the target user, wherein the content page is generated in such a manner as to include the target content room based on the display position.

In one embodiment, the plurality of users connected to the content room may include an owner and a visitor, and the scope of authority of the owner and the visitor to the content room may be set differently.

In one embodiment, the content that can be viewed and listened to in the above-mentioned content room can be content published free of charge in the above-mentioned content service.

In one embodiment, the method may further include the following steps: based on the number of viewers of the content room, determining a special content room in the room pool to be displayed at a special display position on the content page; and the special display position is located at a position above the display position on the content page.

In one embodiment, the step of determining the special content room may include the following steps: based on the theme of the content, determining a first special content room to be displayed in a carousel at the special display position, and a second special content room different from the first special content room.

In one embodiment, the image of the special content room displayed on the content page may include chat text in the special content room.

In one embodiment, the chat text may be determined based on at least one of the input time of the chat text, the keywords included in the chat text, and the number of recommendations of the chat text.

In one embodiment, the image of the target content room displayed on the content page may include chat text in the target content room.

In one embodiment, the step of determining the target content room may include the following steps: determining a first target content room in the room pool based on the preferences of the target user; determining a second target content room in the room pool that is different from the first target content room based on comments related to multiple contents published on the content service; and determining the first target content room and a third target content room in the room pool that is different from the second target content room based on the number of viewers and the remaining viewing time of the content room.

In one embodiment, the step of determining the target content room may further include the following step: omitting the determination of at least one of the first target content room, the second target content room, and the third target content room based on the number of slots included in the content page.

In one embodiment, the step of determining the first target content room based on the target user's preferences may include the following step: utilizing the target user's preferences processed based on the target user's subscription information and viewing history information.

In one embodiment, the step of determining the second target content room based on the reviews may include the following steps: determining the second target content room based on review scores associated with the plurality of contents; and the review scores are calculated based on a quantitative sum of positive factors and negative factors included in the reviews.

In one embodiment, determining the display position of the target content room may include the following steps: identifying one or more slots included in the content page; and determining the display position based on a matching relationship between the one or more slots and the target content room.

According to another embodiment of the present invention, a non-transitory computer-readable recording medium records a computer program to be executed by a processor. The computer program can be configured in such a manner as to cause the processor to execute any one of the above methods.

Another embodiment of the present invention may include an electronic device comprising: a communication interface configured to communicate with a network; a processor configured to execute a computer program comprising one or more instructions; and a memory storing the computer program; wherein the electronic device is configured such that when the computer program is executed by the processor, the processor performs any one of the aforementioned methods. As used herein, the term "user interface" may refer to a physical or virtual medium that facilitates communication between a user and an object, system, machine, or computer program. Users can access content services through a user interface. The terms "image," "text," "button," or "page" as used herein may refer to an element that constitutes a user interface.

The following describes various embodiments of the present invention with reference to the accompanying drawings. In the accompanying drawings and accompanying figure descriptions, identical or substantially equivalent components are given the same reference numerals. In the following descriptions of various embodiments, repeated descriptions of identical or corresponding components may be omitted, but this does not mean that such components are not included in the embodiment.

FIG1 illustrates an environment 100 including devices 110, 120a, and 120b to which one embodiment of the present invention may be applied. The environment 100 may include a management device 110 and user terminals 120a and 120b. FIG1 illustrates an example of two user terminals 120a and 120b connected to a network, but the number of user terminals can be varied. Thus, the environment 100 can be implemented such that content services provided by the management device 110 can be utilized by utilizing user terminals owned by multiple users. Furthermore, FIG1 merely illustrates a preferred embodiment for achieving the purposes of the present invention, and additional components may be added as needed.

The following describes the components shown in FIG1 in more detail.

The management device 110 may be a server device that manages services provided to the user terminals 120a and 120b. For example, the services provided to the user terminals 120a and 120b by the management device 110 may be content services that provide content (e.g., various media content such as movies, TV series, and radio programs).

The management device 110 can perform various actions to play content published on the content service on user terminals 120a and 120b. For example, the management device 110 can receive a viewing request from a user terminal 120a or 120b, i.e., a request to view content. As described above, in order for the user terminal 120a or 120b to transmit the viewing request to the management device 110, a precondition such as purchasing the content, renting the content, or joining a membership can be required. Furthermore, the management device 110 can respond to the user's viewing request by transmitting the content to the user terminal 120a or 120b in a downloadable or streaming format.

Management device 110 may also transmit various pages related to the content service to user terminals 120a and 120b. These pages may include, for example, the main page of the content service; a recommendation page that recommends at least a portion of the content published on the content service; a search page that displays a list of content published on the content service based on a user's search; and a content detail page that displays various details about content selected by the user. This disclosure primarily focuses on the main page of the content service. Unless otherwise specified, the term "content page" used in this disclosure refers to the main page of the content service. Specifically, in the present invention, the technical concept of generating content pages is mainly explained. Therefore, in order to avoid repetition, the specific actions of generating content pages, etc. will be explained with reference to the diagrams below Figure 3.

In addition to the above actions, the management device 110 may also perform various known actions for providing content services to the user terminal 120. Of course, it should be noted that embodiments combining various known actions related to content services with the technical concepts of generating content pages in the present invention are not excluded from the scope of the present invention.

Management device 110 may be implemented by one or more computing devices. For example, all functions of management device 110 may be implemented in a single computing device. As another example, a first function of management device 110 may be implemented in a first computing device, and a second function may be implemented in a second computing device. For example, a computing device may be a desktop computer, a laptop computer, an application server, a proxy server, or a cloud server, but is not limited to these. All types of devices with computing functions may be included in the computing device.

User terminals 120a and 120b may be terminals of users utilizing content services provided by management device 110. User terminals 120a and 120b may display, on their displays, pages utilizing a user interface provided by management device 110 as a function related to the content service. Furthermore, user terminals 120a and 120b may receive user input on pages utilizing the user interface and transmit the input to management device 110, thereby executing actions defined in response to the input. Thus, in order for users to utilize the services provided by the management device 110, a web browser or application can be installed on the user terminals 120a and 120b. Such user terminals 120a and 120b can be, for example, desktop computers, laptop computers, tablet computers, wearable devices, or smartphones, but are not limited to these devices. Any type of device with computing capabilities can serve as the user terminals 120a and 120b.

The management device 110 and user terminals 120a and 120b shown in FIG1 can communicate via a network. The network can be implemented as any type of wired or wireless network, such as a local area network (LAN), a wide area network (WAN), a mobile radio communication network (MRCN), or WiBro (wireless broadband).

FIG2 illustrates a computing device 200 that can implement the devices 110, 120a, and 120b of one embodiment of the present invention. In the present invention, computing device 200 is interchangeably referred to as an electronic device. The management device 110 and user terminals 120a and 120b described with reference to FIG1 can be implemented by the computing device 200 shown in FIG2.

The computing device 200 may include one or more processors 210, one or more memories 220, or a communication interface 230. In one embodiment, some of the components of the computing device 200 may be deleted, or other components (e.g., a display, an input device, etc.) may be added to the computing device 200. Furthermore, some of the components may be integrated additionally or alternatively to implement, or implemented as a single or multiple entities. In the present invention, one or more processors 210 may refer to the processor 210. Unless otherwise expressly stated in the text, the term processor 210 may refer to a collection of one or more processors. Furthermore, in the present invention, one or more memories 220 may refer to the memory 220. Unless otherwise expressly stated, the term "memory 220" may refer to a collection of one or more memories.

The following describes the components shown in FIG2 in more detail.

Processor 210 can control the various components of computing device 200 or perform computations or information processing associated with communication. Specifically, processor 210 can drive software (or computer programs) received from other components to control at least one component of computing device 200 connected to processor 210. For example, processor 210 can load commands (e.g., instructions, code, or code segments) or information into memory 220, process the commands or information stored in memory 220, and store the resulting information in memory 220. Furthermore, the processor 210 can be operatively connected to the components of the computing device 200 to perform various operations, processing, generation, or processing related to the present invention.

Memory 220 can store various types of information. The information stored in memory 220, as information obtained, processed, or used by at least one component of computing device 200, may include software. The software may include one or more of the following commands: when loaded into memory 220, it causes processor 210 to perform the actions of various embodiments of the present invention. In other words, processor 210 can perform the actions of various embodiments of the present invention by executing one or more of the above commands. Memory 220 may include, for example, volatile or non-volatile memory. In one embodiment, the program is software stored in the memory 220 and may include an operating system for controlling the resources of the computing device 200, an application, or middleware, etc. The middleware provides various functions to the application so that the application can utilize the resources of the computing device 200.

Communication interface 230 can establish wired or wireless communication channels with other devices, transmitting and receiving various information with other devices. In one embodiment, communication interface 230 may include at least one port for connecting to other devices via a wired cable to enable wired communication with other devices. In this case, communication interface 230 can communicate with other wired devices via the at least one port. In one embodiment, communication interface 230 can be configured as follows: including a cellular communication module to connect to a cellular network (e.g., 3G, LTE, 5G, Wibro, or Wimax). In one embodiment, the communication interface 230 may include a short-range communication module and utilize short-range communication (e.g., Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), UWB, etc.) to transmit and receive information with other devices. In another embodiment, the communication interface 230 may include a contactless communication module for contactless communication. Contactless communication may include, for example, at least one contactless short-range communication technology such as NFC (Near Field Communication), RFID (Radio Frequency Identification), or MST (Magnetic Secure Transmission). In addition to the above examples, the computing device 200 can also be implemented in various known ways to communicate with other devices. The scope of the present invention is not limited to the above examples.

In one embodiment, computing device 200 may include a display. The display may display various screens (e.g., web pages) under the control of processor 210. To display screens with various interfaces on the display, a web browser or a dedicated application may be installed on computing device 200. Furthermore, as a component capable of interacting with a user, the display may receive user input. Such a display may be implemented in the form of a touch sensor panel (TSP) that can detect contact or proximity of various external objects (e.g., a user's finger or an electronic pen).

In one embodiment, the computing device 200 may include an input device (eg, a mouse or a keyboard). The input device may receive information from outside the computing device 200 (eg, a user) to be used in the components of the computing device 200.

The processor 210, memory 220, and communication interface 230 shown in FIG2 can be connected to each other via a bus, GPIO (General Purpose Input/Output), SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface), or MIPI (Mobile Industry Processor Interface) to transmit and receive information or signals.

The following describes the methods of various embodiments of the present invention in detail. It should be noted that in the following figures, the actions are shown in a specific order, but it is not necessary to follow the specific order shown or perform the actions in sequence, or to perform all the actions shown in order to obtain the desired result.

Furthermore, the actions of the methods described with reference to the following figures can be performed by a computing device. In other words, the actions of the methods can be implemented by one or more instructions executed by a processor of the computing device. All actions included in such methods can be performed by a physical computing device, but the first action of the method can be performed by the first computing device, and the second action of the method can also be performed by a second computing device.

The following description assumes that the actions of the above method are performed by the management device 110 shown in Figure 1. For ease of explanation, the main body of the actions included in the method may be omitted, but unless otherwise indicated in the context, it can be interpreted as being performed by the management device 110.

FIG3 is a sequence diagram illustrating method S300 according to an embodiment of the present invention. FIG3 may include a series of actions, described later, for transmitting a content page including a target content room to a user terminal. Method S300 shown in FIG3 is described in detail below.

The room pool can be identified (S310).

A room pool can be a group of one or more content rooms that provide group viewing functionality for a content service. Here, group viewing functionality can be a function that allows multiple users of a content service to simultaneously view and listen to content published on the content service. Furthermore, a content room can be a virtual space configured to allow multiple users of a content service to simultaneously view and listen to content published on the content service. In other words, a content room can be a virtual space that implements group viewing functionality.

A content room is a virtual space for viewing and listening to content simultaneously. Multiple users can connect to the room and watch content together. These users can include hosts and guests. The host is either the person who created the content room or someone who has been granted access by the host. Guests, who participate in the content room, can be anyone other than the host.

In order for a user to become an owner or guest, for example, prior conditions such as purchasing content, renting content, or joining a membership may be required. In one embodiment, such prior conditions may be required only for owners. Furthermore, the scope of permissions for owners and guests regarding corresponding content rooms may be set differently. For example, at least some of the following functions may be inherent permissions of the owner: an invite function for inviting users who are not participating in the content room, a member confirmation function for confirming users participating in the content room, a chat function in the content room, a leave function for leaving the content room, a delete function for deleting the content room, a remove function for removing users participating in the content room, a chat prohibition function for prohibiting users participating in the content room from chatting, or a permission granting function for granting permissions to the owner of the content room. In other words, you can configure a content room so that visitors cannot exercise the aforementioned rights inherent to the owner.

Furthermore, the content that can be viewed and listened to in the Content Room may be limited. For example, the content that can be viewed and listened to in the Content Room may be content that is freely distributed on the Content Service.

It should be noted that the various settings of the content room described above may cause the operating entity of the content service to change based on the actual operation mode of the content service.

Regarding the room pool, in one embodiment, for the operation of content services, more than one room pool may be operated. Here, each room pool may be differentiated based on the attributes of the content room belonging to the pool (for example, the type of content, the category of content, etc.). For example, the first room pool may include one or more content rooms related to sports, and the second room pool may include one or more content rooms related to games. As another example, the first room pool may include one or more content rooms related to movies, and the second room pool may include one or more content rooms related to variety shows. In addition, each room pool may also be differentiated based on the attributes of the user group (for example, gender, age, region, etc.). For example, the first room pool may include one or more content rooms related to men in their 20s, and the second room pool may include one or more content rooms related to women in their 30s. As another example, the first pool may include one or more content rooms related to overseas residence, and the second pool may include one or more content rooms related to domestic residence. Unlike the above example, more than one pool may be operated to efficiently operate content services. However, it is also possible to operate a single pool by including all content rooms in a single pool without distinguishing between pools.

This action S310 may be an action for identifying one of more than one pools. For example, if only one pool is in operation, that pool may be identified. As another example, if both a first pool and a second pool are in operation, either the first pool or the second pool may be identified based on a predetermined criterion.

Pools can be identified based on the preferences of target users who are the recipients of content pages. For example, if Pool 1 and Pool 2 are operated, Pool 1 is identified, and the identification of Pool 1 can reflect the preferences of target users. Here, target user preferences can be generated and processed based on information such as content service subscription information (e.g., age, gender, preferred content, preferred themes, etc.), activity information within the content service (e.g., audiovisual records, search records, review records, etc.), subscription information within heterogeneous services associated with the content service (e.g., e-commerce services), and activity information within heterogeneous services associated with the content service.

Alternatively, the room pool may be identified based on input from the target user via the user terminal. For example, if a first room pool and a second room pool are operated, the first room pool or the second room pool may be identified based on input from the target user.

Based on the preferences of the target user, a target content room to be displayed on the user terminal of the target user may be determined from the room pool (S320).

The target content room may be one or more content rooms included in the room pool and displayed on the user terminal of the target user. In other words, this action S320 can be understood as an action of selecting at least a portion of the plurality of content rooms based on the preferences of the target user.

As described above, the preferences of target users may be generated and processed based on the following information: information about joining a content service, information about activities within a content service, information about joining a service related to a content service, and information about activities within services related to a content service.

According to this action S320, by reflecting the target user's preferences when determining the target content room, a personalized content room can be recommended to the target user. Specifically, if the content displayed in the content room meets the user's preferences, the content room can be determined as a target content room.

Subsequently, referring to FIG. 5 , the detailed operations of determining the target content room S320 will be described in more detail.

A display position of the target content room may be determined ( S330 ).

The display position may refer to the location within the content page where the target content room (specifically, the image of the target content room) is displayed. This display position can be determined by having a relative position within the content page regardless of the type of user terminal of the target user.

Regarding the determination of the display position, in one embodiment, the display position can be determined based on a pre-determined criterion. For example, the position for displaying the target content room can be determined in advance, and the display position can be determined based on the criterion as described above. In the case where a plurality of target content rooms are included in a content page, the number of target content rooms displayed in the content page and the display position of each target content room can be determined in advance. Specifically, the first target content room can be displayed at a pre-determined first display position, and the second target content room can be displayed at a pre-determined second display position. According to this embodiment, it can be understood that the content page includes one or more slots that can display one or more target content rooms, and the one or more target content rooms are respectively arranged in the one or more slots.

The target content room can be configured in any way.

Alternatively, it can be understood as the following: identifying one or more slots included in a content page, and determining the display position based on the matching relationship between the one or more slots and one or more target content rooms. For example, one or more slots may have a priority, and one or more target content rooms may have a priority, taking into account the matching relationship between the slots and the target content rooms. The priority of the target content rooms can be determined based on, for example, the following order: target user preference from high to low, number of viewers from high to low, remaining play time from long to short, number of reviews from high to low, and review score from high to low.

However, it may be preferable to place target content rooms with a relatively high likelihood of target user participation (e.g., target content rooms with a relatively high priority) in a primary position (e.g., a relatively high priority slot) on the content page compared to target content rooms with a relatively low likelihood of target user participation (e.g., target content rooms with a relatively low priority).

Regarding the determination of the display position, in another embodiment, the display position may be determined (or changed) based on input from a target user. The target user's input may be used to rank one or more target content rooms that may be included in the content room according to new criteria. For example, if the user input is based on the number of viewers, the one or more target content rooms are ranked in order of the number of viewers.

A content page may be transmitted to the user terminal of the target user. The content page is generated based on the display position and includes the target content room (S340).

According to this action S340, the content page transmitted to the user terminal of the target user may be a page in which the target content room (specifically, the image of the target content room) is arranged at a display position.

According to this action S340, a content page including a content room (target content room) that the target user may be interested in may be transmitted to the user terminal 120. Therefore, the content page may be displayed in the user terminal of the target user.

According to the method described so far with reference to FIG3 , by including content rooms that users may be interested in (target content rooms) in the content page, target users can be actively guided to participate in content rooms that reflect the group audio-visual function.

FIG4 is a sequence diagram illustrating method S400 according to another embodiment of the present invention. FIG4 may include a series of actions, which will be described later, for transmitting a content page including a special content room to a user terminal. Method S400 shown in FIG4 is described in detail below.

The room pool can be identified (S410).

This action S410 may be equivalent to the chamber pool identification action S310 described with reference to FIG3 , and therefore, in order to avoid repeated description, the specific description will be omitted.

Based on the number of viewers of the content room, a special content room to be displayed at a special display position of the content page may be determined in the room pool (S420).

Among the one or more content rooms included in the room pool, a special content room can be displayed at a special display location on the content page. A special display location can refer to a relative position within the content page. For example, it can be located relatively higher than the display location of the target content room, thereby attracting the attention of the target user. As a specific example, the special display location can be located at the very top of the content page. In other words, the special content room (specifically, the image in the special content room) determined in this action S420 can be positioned in a special location that attracts the attention of the target user, thereby stimulating the guidance of the viewer.

The above-described special content room can be determined based on the number of viewers, for example. Specifically, the content room with the first largest number of viewers can be designated as a special content room. If multiple special content rooms are designated, the content room with the first largest number of viewers and the content room with the second largest number of viewers can be designated as special content rooms.

When determining a special content room, the genre of the content shown in the content room may also or alternatively be considered. For example, the content room with the highest number of viewers for "Theme A" may be designated as the first special content room, and the content room with the highest number of viewers for "Theme B" may be designated as the second special content room. As another example, the content room with the highest number of viewers for "Theme A" may be designated as the first special content room, and the content room with the highest number of viewers for "Theme A" may be designated as the second special content room.

Regarding the display of a special content room, the image of the special content room displayed on the content page may include chat text within the special content room. As shown in this embodiment, by displaying the chat text within the image of the special content room, target users can be actively guided to participate in the special content room.

Regarding the selection of chat texts, in one embodiment, the most recent N (N is a natural number) chat texts at the time the target user connects to the content page can be selected as the chat texts displayed in the image of the special content room. That is, the chat texts selected to be displayed in the image of the special content room can be selected based on the time the chat texts were input. In another embodiment, M (M is a natural number) chat texts with higher positivity among the chat texts in the special content room can also be selected as the chat texts displayed in the image of the special content room. The positivity described above can be based on the number of recommendations from multiple users participating in the special content room or an analysis of keywords included in the chat texts (for example, analysis based on a sentiment analysis algorithm, etc.). That is, chat texts to be displayed in the image of the special content room may also be selected based on the number of recommendations of the chat texts or the keywords included in the chat texts.

The technical ideas of the above chat text can also be applied to the target content room.

Regarding the display of special content rooms, if multiple special content rooms have been identified, each of the multiple special content rooms can be displayed in a carousel format at a special display location. For example, while the first special content room (specifically, the images of the first special content room) is displayed at a special display location at a first point in time, the second special content room (specifically, the images of the second special content room) can be displayed at a special display location at a second point in time based on input from the target user or specified conditions (e.g., the passage of time). However, it should be noted that methods other than carousel for displaying multiple special content rooms in parallel are not excluded from the scope of the present invention.

A content page may be transmitted to the user terminal of the target user. The content page is generated based on the special display position and includes a special content room (S430).

The difference between this action S430 and the content page transmission action S340 described with reference to FIG3 is only in the object of transmission. Therefore, in order to avoid repeated description, the specific description will refer to the description of FIG3.

According to the method described above with reference to FIG4 , by including content rooms that are popular with a large number of viewers and that may be of interest to the user (special content rooms) on the content page, it is possible to actively encourage target users to participate in content rooms that reflect group viewing capabilities. In particular, by including special content rooms in special display locations that can attract the target user's attention, it is possible to even more actively encourage target users to participate.

For ease of explanation, the method of FIG. 3 and the method of FIG. 4 are described separately. However, it should be noted that these methods can be executed in parallel. That is, the content page generated by executing these methods in parallel can include both the target content room and the special content room.

FIG5 is a sequence diagram showing a detailed operation S500 of the target content room determination operation S320 described with reference to FIG3 . The detailed operation S500 shown in FIG5 may be an operation for determining multiple target content rooms. The detailed operation S500 shown in FIG5 is described in detail below.

Based on the target user's preference, a first target content room can be determined in the room pool (S510). Since this action S510 is based on the target user's preference, the description of this action S510 can refer to the description of the target content room determination action S320 in Figure 3.

The determination of the first target content room as described above can be a personalized recommendation method for target users.

A second target content room may be determined in the room pool based on comments related to a plurality of contents published in the content service (S520).

According to this action S520, a second target content room can be determined based on review scores associated with a plurality of content items. Here, the review score can be calculated based on the quantitative sum of positive and negative factors included in the reviews. To calculate the review score, for example, a sentiment analysis algorithm based on natural language processing can be utilized. As a specific example of this action S520, the content room showing the content with the highest review score can be determined as the second target content room.

When determining the second target content room, the number of views of multiple content items published on the content service may also be considered in addition or alternatively. In this case, for example, the content room showing the content with the highest number of views may be determined as the second target content room.

The determination of the second target content room as described above can be a common recommendation method not only for target users but also for all users who use the content service.

Based on the number of viewers and the remaining viewing time of the content room, a third target content room may be determined in the room pool (S530).

According to this action S530, a third target content room can be determined based on the weighted sum of the first value representing the number of viewers in the content room and the second value representing the remaining viewing time. The greater the number of viewers and the longer the remaining viewing time, the more actively the target user's participation can be guided. Therefore, the content room with the higher weighted sum of the first and second values can be determined as the third target content room.

The determination of the third target content room as described above can be a common recommendation method not only for target users but also for all users who use the content service.

Regarding the determination of the first through third target content rooms described above, one or more first target content rooms, one or more second target content rooms, and one or more third target content rooms may be determined. For example, by determining 10 first target content rooms, 10 second target content rooms, and 10 third target content rooms, a total of 30 target content rooms may be determined. In this case, the one or more first target content rooms may be the 10 content rooms determined to have high target user preferences, the one or more second target content rooms may be the 10 content rooms with high review scores, and the one or more third target content rooms may be the 10 content rooms with a high weighted sum of the first and second values. The number of target content rooms as described above may be determined based on the number of slots included in the content page.

The determination of the first through third target content rooms may have a priority. For example, assuming that the determination of the first target content room has the highest priority, the determination of the third target content room has the lowest priority, and the number of slots included in the content page is 30. If the number of first target content rooms corresponding to the determination of the first target content room is 15, and the number of second target content rooms corresponding to the determination of the second target content room is 10, the number of third target content rooms may be determined to be the number of remaining slots, i.e., 5. Depending on the situation, the determination of at least one of the first, second, and third target content rooms may be omitted based on the number of slots included in the content page. For example, assuming that the first target content room is determined to have the highest priority, the third target content room is determined to have the lowest priority, and the number of slots included in the content page is 30. If the number of first target content rooms corresponding to the determination of the first target content room is 20, and the number of second target content rooms corresponding to the determination of the second target content room is 10, then the determination of the third target content room can be omitted. As another example, if the number of first target content rooms corresponding to the determination of the first target content room is 30, then the determination of the second and third target content rooms can be omitted.

Content services can be implemented as follows: A content room displaying content that reflects the preferences of target users (the first target content room) has the highest priority because it actively encourages engagement. A content room displaying content selected based on reviews or viewing volume (the second content room) aligns with public preferences and has the second highest priority. A content room displaying content selected based on the current number of viewers and remaining viewing time (the third content room) evokes the current curiosity of target users and has the third highest priority. However, it should be noted that this priority may vary depending on actual implementation.

The first through third target rooms can be determined so that they do not overlap. If duplicate content rooms occur, the first through third target rooms can be determined based on the aforementioned priorities. For example, for "Content Room A," if the first and second target rooms overlap and determining the first target room has a higher priority than determining the second target room, "Content Room A" can be determined as the first target room.

According to the various methods of the present invention described so far with reference to Figures 3 to 5 , target users can be actively guided to participate in content rooms that reflect group viewing capabilities. This guidance can be achieved by including content rooms that match the target user's preferences (e.g., target content rooms) or content rooms that are currently popular (e.g., special content rooms) on the content page.

6 to 8 , the content pages that may be referenced in various embodiments of the present invention are described below. FIG6 shows a content page 600 that may be referenced in various embodiments of the present invention.

The content page 600 may be the home page of the content service.

The content page 600 may include a special content room area 610 and a target content room area 620 .

The special content room area 610, in other words, the special content room 611 can be displayed at a special display position.

Target content rooms 621, 622, and 623 may be displayed in the target content room area 620. As shown in FIG6, when a plurality of target content rooms 621, 622, and 623 are included, the target content room area 620 may include a plurality of display positions (eg, slots).

FIG. 7 illustrates a special content chamber 700 that may be referenced in various embodiments of the present invention.

Special content room 700 may include a viewer count 710, an image 720, a content name 730, a content room name 740, an owner 750, a button for joining the content room 760, a single view button 770, or a progress bar 780. Here, single view button 770 is understood to be a button for viewing the corresponding content individually, rather than participating in the group viewing function of special content room 700.

FIG. 8 illustrates an area 800 of a target content room that may be referenced in various embodiments of the present invention.

The target content room area 800 may include a content room button 810 or a slot area 820. The slot area is configured with one or more target content rooms in each of one or more slots S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, and S6. Here, the content room button 810 may be a button that triggers a transition from the content service's main page (content page) to another page displaying a further expanded number of content rooms.

The examples described so far in Figures 6 through 8 can be modified in various ways, with reference to known techniques. These modifications may include, for example, changes to the placement of objects within each user interface element, the number of objects, the font, the color, and the size of the objects. In other words, any user interface element that reflects the technical concepts described with reference to Figures 1 through 8 should be considered to be within the scope of the present invention.

In the sequence diagrams of the present invention, the actions of the method or algorithm are described sequentially. However, in addition to performing the actions sequentially, the actions may also be performed in any combination of orders. The description of the sequence diagrams of the present invention does not preclude changes or modifications to the method or algorithm, nor does it imply that any action is required or preferred. In one embodiment, at least some actions may be performed in parallel, repeatedly, or heuristically. In another embodiment, at least some actions may be omitted, or other actions may be added.

Various embodiments of the present invention can be implemented in the form of software in a computing device-readable storage medium (MRSM, Machine-Readable Storage Medium). The software can be software used to implement the various embodiments of the present invention. Programmers in the technical field to which the present invention belongs can infer the software based on the various embodiments of the present invention. For example, the software can be a program that includes commands readable by a computing device. A computing device is a device that can perform actions based on commands called from a storage medium, and can be referred to interchangeably with an electronic device, for example. In one embodiment, the processor of the computing device executes the called command, thereby enabling the components of the computing device to perform the function corresponding to the command. Storage media may refer to all types of recording media that can be read by a machine and store information. Storage media may include, for example, ROM, RAM, CD-ROM, magnetic tape, floppy disk, optical information storage device, etc. In one embodiment, the storage medium can also be implemented in the form of being distributed in a computer system connected to a network, etc. In this case, the software can be distributed and stored in the computer system, etc. for execution. In another embodiment, the storage medium may be a non-transitory storage medium. Non-transitory storage media refers to media that actually exist regardless of the semi-permanent or temporary storage of information, and does not include signals that are temporarily transmitted.

Claims (14)

A method for providing a content page is implemented by an electronic device, comprising the following steps: identifying a room pool, wherein the room pool includes one or more content rooms that provide a group viewing function of a content service, wherein the content room is a virtual space configured in such a way that a plurality of users utilizing the content service can simultaneously view and listen to the content published in the content service; determining in the room pool based on the preferences of target users the content to be displayed; Displaying a target content room on a user terminal of the target user; determining a display location for the target content room; and transmitting a content page to the user terminal of the target user, wherein the content page is generated based on the display location and includes the target content room, wherein the plurality of users connected to the content room include an owner and a visitor, and the owner and the visitor have different permission ranges for the content room. The method of claim 1, wherein the content that can be viewed and listened to in the above-mentioned content room is content that is published free of charge in the above-mentioned content service. The method of claim 1 further includes the following steps: based on the number of viewers of the content room, determining a special content room in the room pool to be displayed in a special display position of the content page; and the special display position is located at a position above the display position in the content page. As in the method of claim 3, the step of determining the above-mentioned special content room includes the following steps: based on the theme of the content, determining the first special content room to be displayed in the above-mentioned special display position in a carousel manner, and the second special content room different from the above-mentioned first special content room. A method as claimed in claim 3, wherein the image of the special content room displayed on the content page includes the chat text in the special content room. As in the method of claim 5, the chat text is determined based on at least one of the time when the chat text is input, the keywords included in the chat text, and the number of recommendations of the chat text. The method of claim 1, wherein the image of the target content room displayed on the content page includes chat text in the target content room. The method of claim 1, wherein the step of determining the target content room comprises the following steps: determining a first target content room in the room pool based on the preferences of the target users; determining a second target content room in the room pool that is different from the first target content room based on comments related to multiple contents published on the content service; and determining the first target content room and a third target content room in the room pool that is different from the second target content room based on the number of viewers and the remaining viewing time of the content room. As in the method of claim 8, the step of determining the target content room further includes the following step: based on the number of slots included in the content page, omitting the determination of at least one of the first target content room, the second target content room, and the third target content room. As in the method of claim 8, the step of determining the first target content room based on the preferences of the target user includes the following steps: utilizing the preferences of the target user processed based on the joining information and audio-visual history information of the target user. As in the method of claim 8, the step of determining the second target content room based on the reviews includes the following steps: determining the second target content room based on review scores related to the multiple contents; and the review scores are calculated based on the quantitative sum of positive factors and negative factors included in the reviews. As in the method of claim 1, the step of determining the display position of the target content room includes the following steps: identifying one or more slots included in the content page; and determining the display position based on a matching relationship between the one or more slots and the target content room. A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium records a computer program for execution by a processor, wherein the computer program is configured to cause the processor to execute the method of any one of claims 1 to 12. An electronic device comprising: a communication interface configured to communicate with a network; a processor configured to execute a computer program comprising one or more instructions; and a memory storing the computer program; wherein the electronic device is configured such that when the computer program is executed by the processor, the processor executes the method of any one of claims 1 to 12.
